  1. I'd guess South Australia. Most of those one eyed supporters have two other eyes hidden away which is why they're twice the d-heads!
  2. Strange, someone on one the other topics yesterday was certain that their would be 2 late changes (can't be bothered going back and finding out who it was that said it).
  3. http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/07/27/hoodoo-gurus/ Article discussing the hoodoos we have broken over the last 3 years. Let's keep that momentum going. Dees by 37.
  4. C'mon Dees. Write your new story starting with a big win over the Kangapoos!
  5. One extra long, hot shower for you! Don't stress about the water bill, just worry about your health (both physically and mentally).
  6. Well Round 19 started perfectly with the Swans loss to the Hawks. If we play as we should tomorrow then we're guaranteed of moving up at least one spot. GO DEES!
  7. Let me apologize up front because I'm going to get technical on this. In terms of longest streak over time it is: Hawks over Blues commenced 23 Jul 2005 Cats over Tigers commenced 6 May 2007 Kangaroos over Demons commenced 27 May 2007 But due to the way the AFL has "fixed" the fixturing over the years the longest streak in terms of games played is: Kangaroos over Demons 16 games (in 11 seasons) Hawks over Blues 14 games (in 13 seasons) Cats over Tigers 12 games (in 11 seasons). No matter which way the streak is viewed the Tigers website is wrong... But the way the media report it is incorrect because most people would assume it is presented in terms of time. NB: the way most people refer to it on this site is also technically incorrect, because we say Melbourne hasn't beaten Nth since 2006, whereas records are written in terms of when the winning streak commenced which wasn't until 2007.
  8. [Standing ovation] That's gotta be worth 6 votes in DL supporter of the year... WDSTF: Wow Demons Stole The Finals ???
  9. ? I may be crazy But it just maybe the Demon's win we're looking for Turn up to fight You won't need to save me You maybe wrong for all I know but you maybe right....?
  10. That's because if they (I) don't the egg will slide off into the keyboard making it much harder to be said keyboard warrior! It did earlier in the year when we lost to Freo and Hawks after getting ahead of ourselves. But I happen to think you're right that we might be past that point now and if that is the case this week will prove it. You didn't see the Costs Gold game in Alice then? Even a broken clock is right twice a day, unlike most footy journos who are lucky to be right twice a year! Finally on this particular topic I was in the not sure category at the start of the year but I have since been convinced that it was the right decision by Goody.
  11. 6 Hibberd 5 Oliver 4 Jetta 3 T McDonald 2 Melksham 1 Tyson Stiff: Hogan, ANB, Viney, OMac, Gawn, etc, etc ...
  12. Brad Scott keeps saying he'll coach North as long as they want him. Either he or the players (or both) are doing their best to ensure that the club don't want him any longer!!!
  13. Most pundits believe 12 wins will get you into finals this year. We've already won 9 so if most pundits are correct then we only need to win 3 out of the next 7, especially if we don't suffer any blowouts given our superior percentage over all those chasing us. If we win 5 out of our 7 we could be looking at finishing 4th!
  14. Seems only fair that the AFL make both teams forfeit their games until such time as the DL forum says otherwise!!! And while we're at it the same goes for Collingwood, Kangaroos, Essendon, Saints, Sydney, West Coast, etc, etc!!!
  15. Pretty sure that clause in his contract was put in at Gerard's request!!!
  16. Rediculous isn't it (the umpiring). Roughhead had his nose smashed and the back of his head knocked by two different players in the same contest but the umpire didn't pay either high contact. He then had blood streaming from his nose and the umpire was in such denial about his previous error that he wouldn't even call time on for the blood rule. Now that they've lost control you can't even touch a player in a marking contest without giving away 50 metres. Chris Scott made me laugh - called for 50 when Dangerfield got touched in a marking contest then complains bitterly when a 50 goes the opposite way for the exact same thing (as I knew he would). If Chris and Brad Scott spent more time criticising their own players than the umpires they might actually be able to see how to improve their sides (Brad is the worst out of the 2 and look how his coaching is going - coaching Kangas, previously linked to Lions job and now being linked to Pies job)! The umpires seem to think that the rule originally brought in because of the Selwood brothers somehow doesn't apply to the Selwood brothers!
  17. Exactly why I mute the TV and listen to the ABC's call instead. 7 will never poach Gerard because he is too good and would just show up how terrible the rest of their team is!!!
  18. Personally I think Bruce has to wear a condom to capture his output during the game especially when commentating his faves like Danger, Franklin, Buddy, etc (and he has to change it regularly)
  19. Yes on EdTel Footy channel he let fly. Started with Jon Ralph asking 1 question, then Ed's verbal diarrhea took over. Didn't need to "press Red for Ed" as he went totally red on his own. Ed went unchallenged by Ralphy "the journalist" after he'd claimed earlier in the week on AFL Tonight that he would be asking the tough questions of Buckley. The only 1 to try and ask additional q's was Dermot Brereton. It was farcical. As for what he said it boiled down to basically 3 things: It's unreasonable for the media to present/write stories speculating on who may replace Buckley Buckley will coach until the end of the year and you don't base a decision when almost 1/3rd of the year is yet to be played (let's igonore the other 5 years hey Ed) Collingwood "will do right by Buckley" With regards to doing right by Bucks, what I saw told me Bucks was more important than the rest of the club (except Ed of course, because he's a paid up member too)!!!
  20. Plus a mid-wicket, mid-on, 3 slips and a gully - yep he's a complete joke FFS. Mind you I can't find any Ch 7 common taters that I like, which is why I always turn the sound down and listen to the on-line radio (I use live pause to sync them up so I'm usually 5 -10 seconds behind everyone else)
  21. Syd and Bris results could have had you 10 - 6 at the end of tonight. As with our Hawks and Freo results - letting games slip can really hurt.
  22. I moved 800kms away from my brother and my wife isn't a fanatic (she didn't watch any of the game tonight)
  23. Thanks for the clarification... I do have some practice being nice to Don fans, 1 of my brothers and my wife are both supporters of "whatever it takes!"
  24. We haven't played Brisbane this year. I can't believe you think we won't beat them in Round 22 at the MCG.
  25. More a case of the Saints stole Richmond's game plan from last week
