UNSW has a campus in Canberra. It is the Defence Force's Academy / Uni for educating of Army/Navy/Air Force officers. It was outsourced to UNSW many years ago. In the past the Giants have had at least 1 game per year in Canberra where they provide promo tickets for the Defence Force (I believe this was initiated by Kevin Sheedy).

Jude Bolton on ESPN listed the 5 most improved players this year. Given his obvious Swans bias he put Zac Jones first but had Clarry second... Not bad considering we haven't played the swans so I'm not sure when Jude would have seen him play this year... Maybe he does watch us occasionally due to the Paul Roos connection?

It's just an extended final series by another name. 2 more elimination finals that would see only 39% of the competition not play off in finals - what an absolute farcical suggestion. Since it has become an 18 team competition only once has a team in 10th finished with a win rate of better than 50%. All other years they've finished with 50% or worse. Why should we reward teams with a finals spot when they have only won half of their games or even less? Oh here's another suggestion for you Gil: Why don't we just present the players from the bottom placed side with well tried medals after the GF instead of the presentation of the winners medalions? And they can do the lap of honour and let the GF winners just quietly walk off the ground without any recognition at all? I can't even score you at 39% for this suggestion Gil and that means it is a big "F" for fail!

Watched Goody's press conference and thought it interesting that the press didn't ask about Melksham but Goody made sure he said that he was "in the mix as well." Based on this I think Melksham will be in the squad of 25 tonight and in the team depending on Hunt's test on Saturday.

Until I joined this site I always thought I was the sole jinx on the club - whenever I believed we'd win we wouldn't. Now I see I'm just part of a broader community of jinxes. Thanks for opening my eyes Demonland.com

Personally I've never found it hard to tip the Adelaide Cows - just hated doing it. Having lived in Adelaide for a number of years I found a majority of their fans were arrogant & ignorant.
