Good to see you back on here mate.

Was randomly just thinking about how your brother was going at local level.

    Thanks mate

He’s going great. Coaching Moe and they have a real shot to win the flag this season which they haven’t done since 1967.

Having another stellar year and dominating so much they wrote an article about him hahah

  2. Watch the replay with alternative commentary

I suggest listening to Perth's Triple M, being Dennis Cometti's last ever Grand Final

If anyone does, have a good listen to how the commentary team is questioning whether Melbourne will be able to stop the Bulldogs momentum about half way through the 3rd quarter, its very funny knowing what is about to occur

  3. Another update, Dec has been given the Senior coaching role at Moe for the next 2 seasons as a coach/player (see attached for a well written article about it all), I'm sure with his AFL experience he will be able to take Moe to extreme heights over the next few years

Dec was named as the CHB in the team of the year, came 4th in the Coaches votes for the season, but didn't poll a single B&F vote from the Umpires, go figure lol

P.S. CARN THE DEE'S 2021 PREMIERS BABY WOO!!!!

Based on your favourite players I guess its fair to say there is a fair amount of love for Casey Drunkn? Either way if you look at his stats he really doesn't get the ball that much, can kick a goal though it seems - saying he will be a superstar at AFL level is a fair stretch I think.

Very true, I do have a soft spot for the Casey boys, and I have watched a lot of VFL footy over the last 3 years.

But so far my track record is pretty good.

I said Bull would be playing AFL in his first season, I'd written off Hulett as going nowhere before anyone else, I said Neal-Bullen will become a good player after most had given up on him after his first season. Numerous times, most of my posts and predictions have been correct.

I've spoken to coaches, players, staff, scouts, Media and basically anyone who knows anything about football. Watching Fritsch, after only 1 pre season and still with a huge amount of body and footy development in him, play the way he did this season, and easily out mark experienced AFL level players, I can pretty confidentially say this kid will be a star.

But I might be wrong, and maybe I don't know as much as I think I do, only time will tell but I honestly believe this bloke has got what it takes.

Not to be an arrogant bastard but I have to say I told youse so 😁

This years Flag is ours to lose boys, let’s get it done.

Kayo only streams 3 matches a week. Surely they don't have rights over the others. In fact an earlier match was streamed  that Kayo wasn't doing, so it seems they don't have rights to those.

If the footage is done for the coaches etc, why not stream it too? Didn't look top secret.

I'm no expert on Casey radio, but it didn't strike me as a radio broadcast.

It was 100% the Radio Call as I recognized the callers and I used to listen to them all the time, I think whoever edited the footage of the VFL goals just amped up the audio to make it sound better

Streaming rights are complicated, if Kayo have a deal to the VFL games, even if they don't stream a game noone else is allowed to. It infringes on all kinds of property rights and ownership, I dunno I'm no lawyer but that would be my educated guess (would also explain why it was fine to stream the preseason games before Kayo took over the streaming rights at the start of the season)

  6. I think Old Dee is correct, as it seems Kayo have the streaming rights for any VFL game this season

As for the footage and commentary you saw, the footage is done every game for the players and coaches to analyse, and the commentary would have been Casey Radio doing the live call that just happened to be picked up by the mics on the camera

Great stuff D! Have toy been getting down to follow the progress?

I’ve managed to get to 2 of his games, when my work schedule allows me too

It’s been good, they’ve got some real solid defenders for a local club and with Dec in able to control them from the backline it’s working so well

  8. Another win today in round 5 sees Moe undefeated and atop the league ladder with over 200% points

Dec killed it again today, was named 3rd best on but won the Cam Bars favourite player and a slab (he doesn’t drink so I’m sure the old man will be happy)

I thought the same when I read it this morning.  I don't know the authors but at last sports writers who actually analyse data and present meaningful information that provide great insights.  Their tables and graphs are multi-dimensional and worth taking time over.

The first graph 'On the Right Tracc' shows how good his 2021 season.  Best season in nearly every measure.

Mainstream sports commentators/writers can learn a lot from these authors.

Talking of which would someone like to send this to Cornes!  I doubt he will ever stop making platitudinal and banal football comments but he could learn a thing or two about making useful contributions to a discussion.

I'd recommend reading any of the articles written this year by those 2 authors on the ABC, they have been doing an amazing job

  10. Just quietly but how bloody good is it to see Hunty back to his running strong form, he couldn’t get a game a couple of years ago but now is having a huge impact on games

When he and Langdon go on runs together down the wing, it’s so awesome to watch

Why dont they play him full forward he would kick 100 in that league

They picked up ex Giants and Carlton player Kristian Jaksch who played FF, so Decs back in his better position . He did however play forward in their preseason game and kicked 5.4

Also I think you’re underestimating the Gippsland league, lots of good players running around including ex AFL, VFL and many tac cup boys
