  1. He certainly and surprisingly embraced it like I've never seen. Hope he plays with the same gusto tonight. Gee last week's game was dominated by scoring opportunities from centre clearances. I hope we get completely on top of these.
  2. I hope you live near Geelong...otherwise it would be cheaper to get a months kayo as opposed to driving that far with petrol prices as they are. I have Kayo and in Wollongong it's on free to air. I'll watch it hopefully not curled up in the foetal possie. I was wondering when I listened to a game on the radio last. We are so spoiled for choice compared to 40 years ago...the only tv telecast was match of the round.....usually cwood. But if I dint go to the G as a teenager....listening on the radio seemed fun and while one often had no idea what was really going on at times ...wherevthe ball was etc.....it was still enjoyable. Weird that every game was played on a sat for the most part. Imagine that now. How much more work I would actually do.
  3. Either of our players you mentioned could do likewise. Maybe milkshake will do it again. But I think it will bbb who leads the goal scoring bw both clubs.
  4. I went to the Bentleigh club once about 7 years ago to watch a game and was told to be quiet by some old duck when yelling out go Max. It was all too quiet and lacked any atmosphere. Not fussed we sold it and just at the peak of the market. Good job. Let's hit our peak form tonight and keep winning all the way until we our celebrating back to back flags in person at the G this year.
  5. This is one of the predictions I would make up. But I do believe that about Frittata and Kozzie... well he is just getting better and better every day. I'm calling out Trac and Max to have a big influence as well.
  6. Yes one drinks too much out if celebrations or commiserations. I'm lucky to make it to 3/4 time with the late starts.
  7. No but don't get paranoid.
  8. Like the final they lost to the dogs last year by a point tx to some creative umpiring. But yep there a good side anywhere but home advantage sure helps. Still confident though because we have more to lose and hoping to see some of our champions play like they can....and they will.
  9. If he ever snaps...I hope it's tonight. I doubt he ever will. He is tge consumate professional and leads by example. Big game from the big man tonight. Im calling, Ten plus marks. And he kicks straights. This is a huge game tonight and a must win. We have more to lose so hopefully we won't.
  10. Ha. It's not my fault they made me sniff glue. Na...go ahead and enjoy yourself. Footy is all about the atmosphere...the rituals....the banter...and of course the food and beverages. Although I do advise people to stay away from those disgusting dominos pizzas if they still have them. My guess is they don't after a royal commission discovered they caused several let's just say so I don't get sued....unpleasant endings. Anyway enjoying some cheese and I know I'm letting the mfc foodies down ....a couple of meat Pies is fantastic. You know the ones that are so burning hot they melt your tongue. But you still continue to nibble on them and end up not enjoying them as much if only you ignored your greed and waited just 5 bloody minutes. But having the odd tibble or ten completes the day especially the latter if we lose and you have to go home via public transport and listen to opponents supporters. You enjoy that one gallon bottle of sweet sherry you smuggled in by dressing up as some strange looking toddler in an oversized duffle coat.😃 and don't let anyone make you feel guilty. Ps shame on you for just the one gallon.
  11. Tx Whispering Jack. The rare times I get to go the footy...moved interstate....I wish you were one of the mates I went with. I love mine but they complain all the time we will lose. I'd pay for your tix just to nullify some of the pessimism.
  12. I have a feeling either Frita or Bbb or both are going to have big games. I don't know why ..it will be a tough game but I really think we will come away with the chocolates. And finish 2nd for the year. Dees by 28 points . To have a big 3rd qrt. Perhaps I have a reverse case of mfcss. Go dees. Enjoy the win fellow dlanders. Also hoping to see a big game from Tracc. A gf performance. He hasn't been as good as last year imho. Not bad but not on fire. Oliver seems to be doing more thn he should and he and Gus have been awesome. Anb to lift too.
  13. Off topic here. But wasn't Saids tackle and dumping of Kozzie holding the man? Kozzie no longerchad tge ball and he was rag dolled to the ground 20 seconds later.
  14. Now I'm really not sure😃
  15. Not sure if your being sarcastic. I know your genuine about today's dribble but I would put this back in the vault and throw the key away.
  16. Me too but I can't say who for. Bbb has been poor but picked up at the end of the game And we know what he can do up fwd compared to Joel. I just hope he starts doing it. I think your own reasoning applies somewhat to soss...mfc version.
  17. Hibberd was written off by more than a few on this site early in the season. He missed a few games due to injury early on which has been a huge factor in our unsettled defence this year.....Salem.. Petty...Lever in then out....Bowie. nay has missed a few games from injuries and the worst of all fighting with a team mate. You cant constantly have players muss 2 to6 games come up through the 2s and be their best. Even supergit superstars take time to get back to par...the speed...endurance and recovery. Anyway he has been very good since returning and proven it's not just older fwds that can offer a lot. He's quick for his size with great closing speed...a good puncher( at the BALL) and gutsy. Hope he gets Cameron and completely Hibberds Him. As for Milkshake I had written him off as had many others. And in all fairness it seemed right. 2 tp 3 years ago he would burst through the middle of the ground much faster than last year. He may not be as fast but he seems a lot stronger. He's also good and smart with his disposal. Well he was lat week and it's his clearly his best game in 3 years I reckon. Don't know where that form has been and I don't care as long as keeps bringing it. Stay hungry Milk and even angry if it keeps you playing like that. It was Fritatesque like. And in a side who has seen a few its fwds struggle or injured what a great time to play like that.
  18. Prefer Hibberd
  19. I booked 4 tickets...2 for my daughter and fiance and one for me and a mate. My daughters living in melb for a spell and I was driving down from Wollongong...Australia's premier city minus anything good. And that word premier. Anywho...got fairly crook and couldn't go so I gave mine to my mates mate. The idiots left after the blues got 9 points up. Tuned in on the car radio and realised they blew my money. I probably would have knicked off as well being the true believer I am😃 but it wasn't the 55 per tix blown....it was the missed glory and sweet win over such a one eyed mob of blues fans. And the look of utter hopelessness.
  20. You should change your Handle to Mr Almanac.
  21. I didn't get why Trac wasn't in the middle more too given we were losing the ccs.
  22. Yep....It's delusional to contemplate dropping him.....Atbog, or any other time. He's due for a bag of rolls soon.
  23. Those blokes seemed remarkably relaxed compared to me at the time. I was hiding under the doona.
