I remember when we recruited Bbb and thinking how are we going to fit Weid....bbb and Tmac in the same side. Many even suggesting Tmac play on the wing. Well so much for that brain teaser. If Jackson goes and he played like he has, can we please get a huge chf for him?

This is true he did but I reckon as a forward you need to do more than just keep a player out of the contest. That's a defenders role imho. For me, the only test of a good fwd is how many goals and or goal assists they have. Melksham failed with zip. I think one can successfully argue Patty stopped milk from scoring any goals and bbb only score one.

Our forward linexwas crowded also because of the fact we used to be able to get a lot of run and carry from or backline. Players would run and spread and move the moment it was in the hands of the player kicking out. Didn't happen against the Swans.

We will beat Brisbane...I'm sure of it. It's also very possible we could roll Cats in a prelim given our history with them. But with Tracc injured and no 2nd tall it's a big call re the cats. We need to swap Melksham with a tall...maybe Tomlinson or Tmac with a plate in his foot. What do we have to lose? Bowie for Anb maybe who has lost a lot of form. That's all the changes I'd make. Bbb is tall but he's not really a big man like Tmac, Franklin or May ie strength. Swans loss was hard to take . They are a good side but it's just we had at least half a dozen players who really didn't turn up. Ok sometimes you have a bad game. Of course it happens. But what was disappointing the most is you can have a bad game but still try by pressure acts and at least still tackle. For many their tackle counts revealed they didn't even try. And that's what I don't get. As if they knew they were having a bad night and rather than do what they can....its as if they just threw in the towel. I won't name names but anyone can check the stat sheets. We went downhill a while ago but beating Carlton and Brisbane, I thought we had turned it around. At least we won't go out in straight sets.

Plus interstate teams play there more than vic clubs play at other interstate grounds. Watched the game on TV.....it seemed to have a lot of swans fans. People forget there are still an inordinate ammount of people in VIc that still follow swans/ sth Melbourne.

Often gets the best defenders so bbb has it easier. We lost a few after Tmac went down so yea.

Let's face it...securing a tall BIG strong Hawkins type forward is a must do priority for next year. They are just hard to find. But if we are losing Dogga then that's what we should use to negotiate.

Well I guess we know we can beat the lions. But after last night it will be a miracle turnaround to go further than that. Its practically the same team that one a flag last year but not the same mentally. Tracca carrying an injury as well probably more than we ever know about. I guess it serves no more purpose naming players. Just put it down to that omnibus bug.....premiership hangover. Even if we did finish 2nd. I don't want to take away hope as there is a slim chance we can still win. But realistically, I guess most of us know how slim that is. Bit I suppose it's called the double chance because some teams make it.

The fact that I called out many of my favourite players means I being honest AS I see it. You may disagree but being silly by telling people to read their own profile doesn't really mean much. Last night with some of the kick outs we went down the middle a few rimes which rarely worked. Also going forward into the pocket faŕ too any times. It ends up out or something bounce and an easy clearance for the opposition.

Not enough tackling and not enough hard ones. A forward line totally mia....melksham...kozzie.....bbb and Dogga. 2 goals from that⁸ùùuuu lot and limited pressure on opposition.

All that work for a double chance....we could be in a prelim but tge number of passengers was astonishing. Kozzie....didn't even do much chasing or tackling. Anb Bbb Jv Jackson Melksham...now I remember this guy. These blokes hold all be dropped given what was at stake. But we can't.maybe one or two. Max tried but his disposal was shocking. Harmes the same. Tracca injured but has had a topsy turvy year. Langers....fumbles a plenty Gus worst game of the year for him. Lever ...a couple of marks and that's all folks. May...Fritta and Oliver the latter who was targeted all night.... hold your heads high. 2nd rate team that somehow finished 2nd. Wow. How did that happen?

The real melksham. Foolish once. Fool us twice. But now your out and I wouldn't give another year. Got a few touches late in the game and couldn't kick straight fro 20 odd m out. Limited fwd pressure ie tackles. No goals....one tackle. And Bbb ...one goal....zero tackles. Kozzie....no Gail's one tackle. No forward pressure from these blokes at all. Just lazy.
