  1. Jvrs a kid and Petty isn't strong enough to play forward. The club has risked too much on tmac and bbb.
  2. Can we at least lay some bruising tackles that make them think twice? This is just too soft .
  3. Please WAKE UP. Backline asleep again this week. Player wasn't even looking at the ball.
  4. Hes a natural defender. Tried him forward before . Don't know why again.
  5. Not sure if Petty at forward is a good option.
  6. If that dont make you proud get your pulse checked.
  7. This seems like a longer than normal day thread. There's excitement in the air. Maybe most are fired up about going tonight. It certainly makes Monday more interesting. But I think there is a quiet confidence and despite last week's embarrassing loss, a sense that we will win. Will Kozzie turn it on under the big lights? Will Tmac prove many wrong? Will Lever marshall his troops in defence and fix the backline? Will Jvr kick a bag? Will Mr whippy return? All these burning issues will soon be answered.
  8. I should have known you would respond. The bas543d drove off too quick.
  9. It's s lot for a younster on such a big stage but I feel he's in for a big game too....ooh ... Gotta go , for some reason the Mr whippy van is doing the rounds in our street.
  10. Absolutely. I predict i( profoundly) it will take over the round including the traditional Tuesday clash. The night time atmosphere and the imitation phone candles bring a whole new feel that elicits goose bumps during the last post. Just need the crowd to grow which I'm sure it will. I'd wager those going tonight usually pencil it in each year as a must. Have we won most of them.?The first and only one I saw was when we were leading up to the last q but got down to about only 18 players due to injury and sone dubious rough play and the toigs stormed home.
  11. Thanks very much Cc I knew the significance and traditions of the poppy but didn't know that rosemary grew wild at Gallipoli and hence to wear some. Oh the knowledge of Mfc supporters. A cut above others.
  12. I still remember stumbling onto my front porch the first Anzac day post covid at the crack of dawn. I looked down our cul de sac and saw just about every neighbour standing at attention in some interesting states of attire as we could hear the last post drifting through the air from somewhere only to be interrupted by the odd disrepectful laugh of a kookaburra. It may not seem like much but I really felt proud to be an Australian.
  13. Yea, tx very much for that. Just spoke to a mate going tmrw who confirmed the same thing. Would be a pretty bad faux pas. Enjoy tonight.
