Going out in straight sets for us two years in a row. Yep. At least we made a fist of it. And came very close despite injuries at umps. Swans have no excuse. The most lackluster effort in a granny by any club for eons. In it for twenty minutes then went to sleep. Going to haunt them until they lose another.

Something just so off kilter. As mentioned prior, I could understand if the lions had the jump from the get go. So is it over training in the previous few days? I thought the lions would be flat. But I was so wrong.

On the post mortem, it's going to be hard to pinpoint what the heck happened. Swans were fine for the first but just didn't front up in the second. It's not like they were flat from the get go. Where did it all fall apart?

I've never seen Grundy as a great player. He's a good ruckman with usually good tap work. His skills at ground level are above average. But as an intercept mark....terrible. A forward.....well... A defender, nothing outstanding.

They dominated for sure. Only towards the latter end did they become unstable at times. And yes they absolutely didn't turn up for a few games and got smashed. Like today I suppose.

Worse. On the form all year they were favorites for most. Weakest effort from so many of them. Can't see them shaking this off for a long time. Forget the colliwobbles. #Sydneysuckers.

Just saying that Swans have so many others to blame before him.

Grundy the leading disposals. That's a worry. This game was here for the Swans taking This isn't 22 for them. They have dominated all year but they have given this away. Their lack of pressure that second quarter was a disgrace Just didn't turn up for 30 mins. This will scar them for a long time. And rightly so. Was going for the Swans but after that...they don't deserve any support. Losers. Lions will win by 100.

One probably wonders if Sydney having the advantage of playing it's finals at home is a disadvantage. Or does the doubt of two years ago kick in. ( I'm sure it has now). We may have missed in straight sets but it's not as bad as this. No excuse for them to just lose intensity so much so quick. I don't want to take anything from Lions. The problem for me is that they have been good but not necessarily excellent. For me it's a case of Sydney losing than lions winning. Ps Why isn't Windsor in the sprint?

Swans have a great fwd line imo. But the whole team just stopped running and taking the game on. Turned into spectators after such a strong start. Maybe a voo doo from their last gf birth. They are a fantastic side but we've seen a few games this year where they didn't turn up. Sadly this is another one.

How incredible that a team that have absolutely smashed the comp all year are being absolutely smashed by a team that looked like they would not even make the 8 for most of it. A team that has traveled miles and played an extra final has three times the energy of the other. Lions were playing good footy but it seems more that Swans just stopped moving . They turned into complete plodders for a whole quarter. Lions pressure was strong but it wasn't off the charts. Hard to work out what happened. Lions playing confident footy with players backing themselves and prepared to take risks. But Sydney just looked lazy all of a sudden too. Oh well......if you think it can't get worse following Sydney.....it's time for Katy Perry.

Interesting point. Swans played Mcg about five months ago. Lions twice the last five weeks. Alarm bells sounding. That weak tackle sums it up. Swans intensity non existent.

Lions playing well but this is not the Swans at their best. They are a little flat and it's not Sydney that have dominated all year. They need to be careful they don't drop five goals down by the middle.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of us....that 21 was the first flag we saw. But now having savored how sweet they are, it's tough waiting again. Now I get all the fuss.

Who would have thought cooking a couple of simple meals would create so much acrimony and bullying between people? More rubbish from the free to air nuffies. And they complain about the competition from streaming services. Try and create some different content once a decade perhaps.

Great energy from the Lions. Will they keep it up. Will the stress of travel and more finals take their toll? Maybe they will get through on sheer adrenaline. They look so exciting at times.
