  1. I thought we played reasonably well aside from a few silly but standard for this season turnovers. Unfortunately, Moloney continues to let us down. I understand he is tagged every week but I want to see effort and I want to see him do the team things like the assist to Blease. When your team would lose to a team of players listed as injured, you expect to lose. Jamar, Clark, Jones, Davey, Green, Bartram, Jarrah, Pettard, plus the remaining list would beat our current team now.
  2. 6. Sylvia 5. Watts - not his fault he was put on Brown ( stupid decision) 4. Sellar 3. Blease 2. Howe 1. Nicholson Apologies to Bate and Grimes -6 Moloney -5 spencer -4 Bail -3 Trengrove -2 Rivers (missed goals) -1 Dunn
  3. 6. Jones 5. Frawley 4. T-Mac 3. Sylvia 2. Rivers 1. Grimes apologies to Garland and Dunn who I thought were very good today especially early and late in the game.
  4. Come to think of it I will go Franklin instead of Watson. Caught up in the emotion of Essendon's comeback against the Swans
  5. I would go (1) Watson (2) Pendleton (3) cotchin Would go sully instead of Watson but too scared what the reaction would be.
  6. 6. Rivers 5. Garland 4. Jones 3. Garland 2. Watts 1. Tapscott but could have been anyone Welcome back Moloney, Sylvia, Morton to the team ( at least it appeared as though you wanted to be part of the team). Couple of others still to also return but all positives tonight so I am not naming them.
  7. I think any thoughts of a player rift with the coach was put to bed based on the reaction of Garland and McKenzie on the bench when we won. Would have been nice to see Neeld in the middle of the huddle. I did not see Sellar in the middle being washed with powerade. Did anyone else?
  8. Endeavor is there which is good. Turnovers galore which is bad.
  9. Looking forward to you bagging Green and heaping praise on Sylvia. If only Bruce was still playing for us. In any case cheer them on with gusto - a good year for me to be in Sydney but I will be watching on foxtel.
  10. Thanks for the update. In Sydney and it is not on here. For some reason I seem to be more interested in these games rather than the Melbourne games.
  11. 6. mcKenzie 5. Grimes 4. Blease 3. Frawley 2. Rivers 1. Magner
  12. 6. Clark 5. Magner 4. Bartram 3. Garland 2. Jones 1. Howe -6. Sylvia -5. Davey -4. Pettard -3. Trengrove -2. Moloney -1. Fitzpatrick
  13. 6. Clark 5. Frawley 4. Magner 3. Jones 2. Bartram 1. Morton -6. Sellar -5 Sylvia -4 Moloney -3 Tapscott -2 Davey -1 Bail
  14. I left him out because I thought he did not do very much in the first half. His 3rd and 4th quarters were pretty good and nearly managed to squeeze into the votes for mine.
  15. 6. McKenzie 5. Jones 4. Bail 3. Bate 2. Rivers 1. Magner
  16. In: Sylvia, Petterd, Martin, Grimes, Couch Out: J. MacDonald, T. McDonald, Sellar, Dunn, Clarke (injured) If Clarke not injured Petterd to miss. Want a bit more agility and run against the saints. McKenzie, Bartram on a warning to lift and Morton to stop the silly errors.
  17. 6. Rivers 5. Bate 4. Howe 3. Moloney 2. Magner 1. Jones
  18. If you read my post, I said one player can sit with the coach after the game and answer the journos questions. After that, they can say, we will answer the questions when we play 4 quarters with passion.
  19. I am no longer interested in what the players have to say about the game. Fine for one player to join the coach (as Howe did yesterday) but I no longer want to hear from others be they captains, past captains or senior players. As an example I don't want to hear from Trengrove or McKenzie that we were not good enough and they have to improve. I think that is fairly obvious. When they put in a 4 quarter effort then I am happy to hear from them. I am happy to hear from the Coach and Administration because they need to tell supporters and members where they are heading. Enough is enough. If I hear one more player tell me that there were positives but they need to be consistent over 4 quarters or they need to improve, I will spew.
  20. Growing up (i am now 43) I was told when Melbourne sacked Norm Smith, a curse fell upon the football club and we would not be able to find a premiership coach until something happened to makeMelbourne worthy again. I was hoping Jim Stynes was that something. Now it seems that there is now a captain curse with us sacking James McDonald. green did nothing last year and I feel now the two Jacks are playing well below there best. I hope I am wrong but it would just be my luck.
  21. 6 - magner 5 - jones 4 - Clark 3 - McDonald T 2 - rivers 1 - Dunn
  22. I too am extremely disappointed but we cannot dwell on the past. We now need to select players on the field who want to be the future, who want to make history in winning a premiership after 50 years and we need to bring in players with passion and guts. Unfortunately, the tail does not wag the dog so unfortunately some senior players need to make way. It is too depressing to think of the past so I will think of the future and I may change my sign-in name to "maybe next decade".
  23. 6. Magner 5. Trengrove 4. Watts ( for 1st half) 3. Jones 2. Jamar 1. Umpires (for1st half)
  24. If this is Melbourne pumped, I am a bit worry when the Jim stynes factor starts to settle. Fundamental errors costing us and a lack of effort from our most senior players. Hopefully the 2nd half will be a little different. Torch has to replaced on Davey and Green, especially.
