The alarming aspect for me was Pert highlighting 'great wins' this season against Hawthorn and Collingwood. Hawthorn are in full blown rebuild mode, and Collingwood had 3 or 4 of their top 6 players out.

We've beaten no great teams in Goodwins entire reign as coach, Geelong EF 2018 were just average, Hawthorn the week after the same. Any time we play a premiership contender like Richmond, WCE or a full strength pies we get smashed.

We beat the eventual premiers in Perth a couple of weeks before they won the Grand Final?

I believe we're talking about the one in the clip in this article: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2020-melbourne-western-bulldogs-loss-christian-petracca-fox-footy-garry-lyon-afl-ladder/news-story/38ccaf7a995af7ffe59d01d770fc8ca3

Looks to me like the tap was probably always going to go to Petracca and he wasn't going to be tackled by Liberatore quickly enough to prevent him running forward and kicking it.

It's always tough dissecting individual plays like this, but IMO it was a poor choice from Petracca.

It is certainly difficult to dissect but looking at the vision again Clarry was in the clear if (a) the handball gets to him or (b) the ball doesn’t bounce away from him.

Clarry looks to be the runner in this stoppage where the dogs players push up on trac who tries to give the releasing handball.

Unfortunately the hand ball misses, the ball bounces away towards Libba, Clarry almost gets hands on it but it’s toe poked away by Bont.

could have easily gone the other way but that’s footy....

Watching the doggies on the weekend and an undersized Dunkley spending some significant time in the ruck, I wondered what has happened to Kyle. Don’t believe he’s injured - does anyone have an insight on how he’s going. Thought he showed a little bit despite fitness being well underdone last year in his 5 games and playing largely in the graveyard at HFF in a poor side?

It’s my understanding that Kyle had a planter fascia injury over Xmas which set him back after working especially hard overseas after the end of last season.

Would certainly be nervous heading into the end of the year.

I'd like surprise Port - have some goodies I'd like to see ....

TMac, Sparrow, Tomlinson, Smith, Rivers IN

OMac, Jones, Jetta, Bennell, Harmes OUT

    • TMac to CHB
    • Sparrow to Bpocket and rotated through the midfield
    • Tomlinson to Wing
    • Smith to FFlk and rotated through midfield
    • Rivers rotated HBF, utility in support of TMac, tag on smalls.

Rotated midfielders may bring the likes of our consistent midfielders closer to goal for shots or passes - if they run hard enough. I am thinking of Clarrie and Gus, first in this regard.

It will be just the two changes from what I’ve been told.
