What I don’t understand is why in the games that Gawn is so dominant in have a signal that the team knows and prepares for and get Max to punch the ball 30-40m clear and have us run into it. Not every bounce but a couple of times a game. I think it was White did that well when he was at the top of his games for us. Just something different and get it out of the centre for us. Thoughts?

I think many on here are missing the point. They are an event sponsor so what is our B&F Award called The Keith “Bluey” Truscott Memorial Trophy. -
I am expecting to see the players go to the PA on Monday and ask not to play against Hawthorn ever again as its to tough on them, just like they did about THE CAMP. Is that positive enough for you?

Last Round last year against Collingwood.

So Soft and we should have seen it coming after the cancellation of "THE CAMP". The Hawks would have been getting in to us about that and we didn't have any comeback just turned up our toes and let them run all over us. I am expecting to see the players go to the PA on Monday and ask not to play against Hawthorn ever again as its to tough on them!!!!!! At least we now know that the secret training session on Thursday waste of F*#cking time. The Hawks had two or three player's injured but they still "tore us apart" in the second half. Soft, dumb footballers who have taken over the Football Department. I feel so sorry for PJ and the Admin team that have done such a wonderful job to get the off field side of the club running so well and in a very good position, but sponsors & members aren't going to stay around if you put that sort of performance on. Next week now becomes a true "CRUNCH GAME" for both players and the coaching panel. Its about time the coaches "grow a pair" and [censored] this bunch of soft want- a- be AFL footballers into line.

Both times we played then last year we had both the Mac’s and Frost in the side. So I think we need to have a plan B & C this time. Cutting out his supply is the key and secondly playing a game that doesn’t bring the umpires in to the game so lots of play on and hitting up our targets in space. As stated on another topic site we have been slaughtered by the umpires every time we play North as they create stoppages and then we give up the free or turn over.

New Sponsor: Melbourne Airport Parking

I think we will soon hear that the club has signed another sponsor who ties in well with the name of our B&F trophy! -
They didn’t give up! Held an expected top 4 team to only 17points in the second half!(pity about the other 80 in the first) ANB’s 50m snap goal!

Not so sure we can play that way in 28c temp and pouring rain! That’s the expected weather in Brisbane for next Saturday. The Sunshine Coast camp training might come into play.

I watched it last year and we are starting the same this year. We don't judge the flight and /or drop of the ball well as a total team. Today Geelong out marked us by nearly 50!!! Yes I know there were a few good ones but over the whole game and across the team I see this as a weakness that has not been addressed in the off season.

Also for Tom he is a big strong bloke (Tarzan) but for the last three or so weeks he has played like Jane! He lets the opposition players just run past with only a token effort to stop them and I can't remember the last time he shepherded for a team mate. If we can get something for him trade him and his bother please.

Simple answer for the AFL to min this type of discussion would be that at the start of the year teams of umpires are put together and umpire together for the whole session. This would include boundary goal emergency and the video ump. They would train together umpire together and if one of them has a shocker they all go back to the country. This way they would get to know each other and then there would be more consistent with their decisions. Also they would pull each other into line if a bad decision was made because none of them would want to get sent to the bush the following week. Teams only get better the more they train and play together so why should it be any different for the umps?

Agree we need the Weed! -
Would it have been too much for the coaches to do a couple of training sessions at Casey leading up to this game, given we were going to play in Hobart then Canberra in the middle of winter. Surely that ground would have given the team a more realistic conditions to see how the game plan might work at windy, cold and possibly wet grounds ! That last quarter was school boy football mistakes, not playing in front when defending into the wind and thinking kicking with the wind it would all just happen for them. So I blame the coaches for not preparing the team and the players for not doing some basics in those conditions.

Based on this review result, does the MFC have the right to request another review on the Todd Goldstein pulling the ball out of the third row of the Grandstand in Hobart and kicking a goal.It was clearly over the line so how long after a score has been awarded does that score stand, is there a time limit and why have goal umpires if decisions can be made by some faceless person somewhere up in the Grandstands..... -

I agree with all the comments about Ollie and CP and the next three weeks will give us even a better understanding on how good they will be.Port, Hawks and the Filth will be putting in some added homework on how to nullify these two and also Stretch.
