  1. Ignore the Petracca vision, think this was Roos showing them what is ahead, I was surprised when they joined in the repeat running drill, a very harsh introduction, but will do them the world of good, only one not suffering was Billy Stretch who is 2 weeks ahead
  2. Don't have concerns about Max Gawn, he is right where he should be in his training, they are going to ramp it up a bit, so hence the knee support he had on today, he has a history of knee issues, so they are being cautious, same with Dawes on a program to restrict the reoccurrence of those soft tissue injuries he was plagued with last year Petracca is an 18yr old of Italian heritage, quiet they are not, I asked him for the photo and his main concern was to make sure I got the others, Alex NB, offered me his hand to shake and said "Hi, I'm Alex", Oscar Mc was up for a chat, and Angus Brayshaw, you could tell he was over the moon to be an AFL footballer (in training(for OD's benefit))
  3. He got the team gastro a couple of weeks ago, knocked him around, looked good today, back to running solidly, asked him how he was, laughed and said 'lighter'
  4. Kent has had a quad issue, will be back in full training next week, anybody with a leg issue now does a light track session and then they go swimming
  5. Ask Dave Misson, I do, Hogan having one of his advertised light days, Trengove was the only other one who didn't do some form of training A couple of clarifications, Pedersen is big bodied, did the whole session which most of the players rated as a 9 which is 'hard', he would not be on the list if he was overweight, Garlett is on a specific program The group was pounded today, Nathan Jones announced at the end and I can't quote, it would be censored so he said along the lines of "anybody who has not to put 9 today is a rather silly person", Daniel Cross ranked it 3rd in his hardest sessions ever and he has done 15 pre seasons The new boys as others have said are big, Oscar Mc said he was getting worried on draft night as 'all' had expected him to go around the 40 mark, said his house went crazy when he got Melbourne Alex Neal Bullen was expected to go in the first 25, I asked, we were delighted he was still there at 40 I am going to put some photos up on my Twitter account Demonpk and Six was there again so we should get some other top photos as well Bernie Vince is getting frustrated with not being able to do some of the drills because of his shoulder, although he is still his smiling self making a joke of it There were two tall young sticks training, so I asked, AIS Academy, no sign of the Casey guys or Tapscott, nobody else either, so not sure who we are going to rookie
  6. Your post could be interpreted the same way
  7. Steady, you will get yourself disliked for actually understanding some of the issues we have had, two 18 yr olds is the answer to everything according to some on here
  8. I had a chat to the Russian, he has come back completely refreshed and has no left over injury concerns, looks really good at training (have a look at the photos on my Twitter), rucks Jamar, Spencer, Gawn, King, Fitzpatrick, backups Pedersen and if I am not wrong Sam Frost and Watts can ruck as well, so I don't think we will be on the lookout for another one
  9. I tweeted this to Jack Viney as a lookalike, he favorited it, as I said a really cool young guy
  10. Tom knows, he overthinks it, when he has a set shot he is very accurate, as we saw last year, but it is when the play is on the move, like Bail and a few other before him, he is working on it, these days he has to
  11. Believe it is the 3k run tomorrow ...so no training,,,,it is arranged that way, assume new recruits will be there Monday
  12. You had to pick one of the nicest guys who is always up for a chat, Jack would love the cartoon, do you mind if I put it on Twitter tomorrow, I told him about his guns gaining a following and asked him to do the very pose for Twitter, he immediately did it
  13. Gee...don't give up,, do you, Billy Stretch, for one loves a chat, must have posed for at least a dozen photos already, you don't get it do you
  14. I thought I would answer this last one, I only posted that I won't be readiing any more of your posts, feel free to do the same, you seem to carrying on quite a lot for something that really doesn't bother you.........MFC is my team, I don't like negative things being said about it, public forum, I will say so, some of the negative posters deserve belittling, sorry
  15. Thanks chaps for your support, I just don't continue to read some posters input, I am over discussing,, the negativity amazes me at times...... the list I don't read is growing.......... I do the training reports to hopefully give a bit of background/info to our interstate and overseas supporters A lot of the players actually enjoy the interaction with the supporters (bloody Garland photobombing my pic of Jeff Garlett) But I also talk to them to try and get some true info or check out why they came off the track early. There was actually a 'funny' exchange on Wednesday, Dunny, of all people, was near the fence and a watcher asked him a question, obviously not about him, Dunny turned around and said paraphrase "ask him yourself, he won't bite"......it was probably about Jesse Hogan
  16. So am i, so I will make sure I get pictures of the new recruits and put them on my Twitter account for all who want to see before you begin your usual oldest fanboy in the world routine and pester them from the boundary at training....congratulations as well, that snide comment got you onto my list of posters I don't read He was [censored] off he got glandular, felt he made real progress last season, coaching staff agreed, hence his second year, put him right back at the beginning of pre season again, hoping to get the weight back on in next week or two and have a program set he can follow over the Xmas break and catch up
  17. Oh good two more 18 yr olds for Demonland to regard as saviours unless of course they don't get 30+possies, kick 3 goals lay 6 tackles and look exceedingly good on camera in their post first senior game interview, unless Roos considers them ready in April, doubt we will see them except at Casey As for the Tapscott question, the way it was answered, think he is gone,.....but who knows if there is nothing left in the rookie draft
  18. I forget what I did yesterday OD, my hard drive is getting full
  19. It is just that it is more open now, I can ask the players or Dave Misson and get an answer, in the past it would be a mystery injury or illness, Misson said nothing is serious and it is November, only one who is 'serious' is Trengove, Spencer is a big, big unit so if he reported a bit of back soreness the alarm bells would ring, he was fine today. Harmes was absolutely gutted he got glandular put him back a few weeks, really impressed me that he said twice that he was going to work over the Xmas break to catch up
  20. Ok I'll rephrase it, all 3 are good junior footballers anyway, move on it is a new season, from what I can see at training, if they all get through, for young players who we haven't seen much we will have Hogan, Salem, JKH, Toumpas, Hunt, Stretch, Frost, Kent, Harmes, King and we can add two more, what's not to like
  21. How did you get into it? I can ask him next time, the only one that glares at me is the big angry polar bear Jesse Hogan, think the pic I put on twitter burnt my bridges there?
  22. As I said most of they players I asked think the Saints will go with McCartin, nobody there from recruiting to ask unfortunately, most agree it doesn't really matter anyway as the top 3 are all good so it is a win/win no matter which way it falls
  23. Seriously he looks really good, his running is exceptional and he shines during the kicking drills, hopefully he can get through to March and start to show what a good players he is, they have told him to stop being so hard on himself and just enjoy playing footy....the Roos mantra
  24. Usual drills Injury report from Dave Misson, as they were missing, Watts a groin issue and Kent a quad issue Spoke to the following Spencer, ankle is fine, has had a bit of back soreness so they are holding him back a bit Max Gawn should be back in full training in a week or so, Harmes has had Glandular Fever, knocked him around a bit, lost 3kg,intends to work over the Xmas break to catch up, Terlich another week or so, Vince New Year before he can test out the shoulder, Michie who has looked a bit down, had the dreaded gastro, really "drained" him JKH will be wearing a support on his knee as a precaution, getting better each session Tommy Mc has a hamstring tendon issue, nothing serious but they are monitoring it Jack Fitzpatrick is glad to be getting through his first pre season, diabetes now just part of daily routine Christiian Salem absolutely shattered that Man City scored two late goals to win in the Champions League, he is on a bit of a modified program HL is just easing his way back into it, just a bit of tightness My November flyer - Jimmy Toumpas Roos was not there so assume already on the Gold Coast or doing some last minute decision making, none of the recruiting department were there,, and you usually get one or two watching but Tommy Mc doesn't think his brother will still be there at 40, disappointed but happy for him, most players seem to think St Kilda will go with McCartin JKH told me that Nev Jetta is like an uncle and 'keeps him in line' Jeff Garlett is very approachable and very humble, complimented him on a nice set shot from the boundary he did and he shrugged it off, Nev of course couldn't resist and started saying that Garlett is going to win us a premiership The pics I took will be on my Twitter Demonpk, sometime this afternoon
  25. I got as far as crossing Victoria Parade, looked at the colour of the sky to the west and buggered off back home, my apologies for being a wimp, hoping to go on Wednesday, as previously reported Watts is doing a hell of a lot of extra running, keeps whingeing at Misson (in a joking manner)
