This goes off topic a bit, but I wouldn't mind seeing retro heroes being put on tee-shirt lines. The gawn and Jones nerd tees were a hot commodity last season. Would love a flower, stynes, barassi and Lyon tee to be created.
  2. A stack of fringe players playing for a new contract. Spots will be hard to come by, we should see some of these fringe players go up a gear. Interesting times ahead.
  3. Would rather trade two first rounders for lever than draft another jimmy Toumpas or Lucas Cook. we paid overs, but we got the player we needed. lets move on from this and call it a win-win.
  4. It's no wonder Diamond Joe vanished.....
  5. Not convinced by the Kelly rumours. I think we are heavily invested in Lever and we don't have the money for both. Kelly is a gun, but his price tag will be a bridge too far.
  6. He is staying at the saints. I wonder if they will still have the rumoured 1.2m for Kelly after inking Billings.
  7. I am happy for him. He was always the whipping boy with Essendon fans. I'm glad he hasn't carried same tag here at Melbourne. His contributions this season have been valuable.
  8. It's a midfielders medal, so based in current projections it would be Oliver.
  9. If Lewis hadn't of played we would have been pumped. He was our best, and provided much needed leadership to stem the bleeding when momentum was against us.
  10. Gun gun gun. My only question is: Where is that 800k worth of cap space coming from??
  11. I think so. The suspension probably cost us a game that he could of helped us win, aside from that he has been as good as advertised.
  12. Lewis has been ok so far. My concern is that I can't see him playing out that 3 year contract in the 1s. He is an automatic selection this season, but with a fit and developing list he is going to be pushed for games next season. As for the season after....he will be like Garland. On the list but playing in the twos as depth to cover injuries.
  13. He was good last night. A bit of a silent pest. Reads the play well and has good skills in close. His kicking still needs some work but he is playing well and deserves some love.
  14. The AFL experts stroke themselves over Joel Selwood. No doubt Selwood is tough and a strong leader, but Viney is next level tough. I have never seen anything like his performance last night. It is the best midfield performance I have ever seen.
  15. Interesting. From memory one of his sons is about 14 and is a prospect (Kobe?), certainly helps father son nominations if he is down here with dad. Loved the Wiz, wish he had never left.
  16. Here is the thing with Oscar: He just turned 21, was pick 53 in the draft and only has 26 games to his name. He is young, was never expected to set the world on fire and has limited experience at the top level. I think so far he has panned out just fine.
  17. He didn't seem as hard around contests today. I wonder if he is carrying something. Hard to know the impact of leadership as armchair viewers, as bad as he was today I think his cool head would have been very handy today when the game was in the balance. We can revisit his form in a few rounds, today was just one to forget.
  18. Wow. That's actually phenomenal! I hope he is brought up in all Australian talk leading in to voting.
  19. We are getting slaughtered down back. May has to be a top priority going into trade week.
  20. Has played 4 games and has probably been in the top 3 players on the ground in 3 of them! Been an absolute steal.
  21. Norf will offer him stupid dollars. We are back of the field in this race. He would be a great get.
  22. If you google "Cale Morton" the third auto response is "running away".....
  23. I think he still holds the AFL record for running away from a fight in an AFL game....
  24. Pull the trade Lever!
  25. Paddy could end up being an All Australian forward, but Petracca is next level. He has the same mystique about him that O'meara had before he had all of those injuries. Paddy will be a very good player, Petracca could be something very special.
