I think they are talking about LEWIS Jetta not Neville.

If we could add him and someone like Scott Selwood as free agents, plus our first round pick it could go a long way to us making finals next season.

Definitely think he will be in the mix for us.

He's been on the rookie list for half a season? You're a tough man Stuie.... if you were head of our list management I'd imagine we would turn over 20 players a season.

What about this trade: Mebourne: Pick 1 (likely 4 or 5), Pick 2 and Howe GWS: Conglio, Tomlinson, Hampton Would they go for it?

I wonder if Barlow would be gettable. He seems to be out of favour as a pure mid and is being played of a HFF. Could do with him running through the middle!

This! I remember seeing Newton wait too long on Saturday night and by the time he decided to kick he was tackled so only got a sprayed kick off the boot. I like that they would wait a moment to see if there is someone free, but as soon as they see there isn't they've just got to go direct to the contest and trust our big forwards to halve the contest. Really sick of seeing players wait too long and then get run down or let the opposition get back!

I grew up in Perth and then went to live in Canada for a year. Came back and it was a lot smaller than I remembered! I now live in Melbourne and I never want to move back to Perth, Melbourne is such a great city to live! And the bonus is I now get to go watch the Demons play with other supporters with me rather than 40,000 eagles or Dockers fans (it's terrible if you've never experienced it).

I don't think there is any guarantee that those players mentioned will be able to play to the level their senior players are now. When those players come into the side they are given a very small role and have star players like Fyfe, Mundy, Barlow all to shield them. Once some of those are gone they are then expected to step up, which not all of them will be capable of doing. A couple of years ago I remember reading how the cats had drafted well with guys like Smedts, Horlin-Smith etc. Fast forward to now and those players really don't look that great once they are expected to do more. I think it is underestimated just how important the top 5-6 players of a side are.

Maybe we can keep this going until we've marked them all off. Maybe then we can feel like the team is moving forward!

Though Toumpas did have a poor game against the Bombers I'm definitely not gonna write him off. The first two NAB cup games he only played a total of 61% game time and still managed to record 34 touches from the two games plus 9 tackles. These are pretty decent numbers and I'm hoping with a full season he can average somewhere around 22-24 touches a game this season.

That would probably be his biggest challenge, changing body shape and losing some kg's

I'm happy either way. We could do with both a power forward and another mid. Love having picks 2 and 3 but look forward to the day we have pick 18 instead.

We can't lose. We either get two good mids who compliment each other. Or we get a good mid and a big forward.

I am so glad we don't have to pick between McCartin and Petracca. Very happy to take whoever Saints don't.

I liked the write up about Petracca where it mentioned he worked hard to lose 6 kg or something so he could run through the midfield. Always good to look at players who have to work hard at the junior levels as they often have what it takes. I really hope we end up with this guy just seems like he will be such a powerful mid, but wouldn't mind Brayshaw either
