Seems pretty fair to me.

If we have had a light week I am expecting a good performance this week. I'm also wondering if the level of intensity will be a lot less than they have faced the past 3 weeks and so they may find it easier against a lower side. Though I expect the Dogs should still win but you never know.

Judging by Roosy's press conference I think Dawes will be out this week and may need a couple of weeks to get himself fit (I'd rather that then him playing and getting 5 touches. Every time I look at that picture I want to find Schwab and Prendergast and shoot them.

So based on the Dogs doing this once we don't need a ruckman? I doubt that if the dogs continually used this tactic it would work every week. Spencer and Jamar are pretty much useless and the best sides in the comp at the moment have a good ruck or ruck combo- Freo, West Coast, GWS, Crows. We desperately need a good ruckman and I'd be surprised if we don't go and get one this off-season.

I think Watts should be given free reign to run through the midfield and try to accumulate as much ball as possible. He could be that really big midfielder like a Mundy at Freo and would be so hard to match up on. I just feel he can be too team oriented at times and just needs to play.

Does anyone know how bad Salem's hammy was? Did it look like a Kent 10-12 week job or more your 2-3 weeks?

I think they should play Watts through the midfield and leave Pedersen up forward. He's not a natural forward and seems to play better when he is told to just go and get the ball.

I'd like to see him stay in the side but I doubt it will happen. Jake Stringer had a shocking game yesterday for the Dogs but they will continue to back him in. We don't have the depth of players so we drop Toumpas and then we bring in someone just as poor, but who is late 20's not early.

I wish we were trailing by 23 in the league game.

Every time this happens I think back to Schwab and Prendergast destroying the club. Morton, Gysberts, Blease, Strauss, Cook, Bennell, Maric. We nail those picks, or at least get AFL standard players, we would be playing finals right now. Instead we have a terrible list and we have to re-build AGAIN. What a depressing thought! We need to really do well in the draft and trade period this year if we want to at least be competitive most weeks.

Good luck trying to bring in someone like Shiel after this. Why would he want to start losing again!

I don't understand how we have had so many high draft picks and still have one of the least skilled side in the HISTORY of the competition. We are a debacle! I didn't expect to win but at least keep it to a 10 goal loss!

Billy Hartung has had 19 disposals at 100% DE. Unbelievable.

Dawes should be dropped and have Pedersen at FF and Hogan at CHF.

That is way too much money. He's good but not that good. I'd say 5 mill over 7 would be about right

all of those are better than what we have.

The thing with Lyon is every time he plays a full game he usually gets around 20 odd touches a kicks a goal or two. I'm not sure why he doesn't get more game time at the Crows, I guess because they have a lot of similar players in Grigg, Kerridge, Van Berlo, Wright etc.

We also have a dearth of skilled half backs.... Actually a dearth of skilled players everywhere! Just let the guy develop where he is now, he seems to be taking to the role well.

I quite liked the sound of Rhys Mathieson, anyone seen him play? Hopefully we aren't picking up any of these players in the top 10 because we've traded our first pick for Shiel!!

I don't get why everyone wants to move Salem. He is the perfect half back runner with speed and skill. Yes definitely throw him into the middle for a few centre clearances but he is very valuable currently running off half back.

This! I remember seeing Newton wait too long on Saturday night and by the time he decided to kick he was tackled so only got a sprayed kick off the boot. I like that they would wait a moment to see if there is someone free, but as soon as they see there isn't they've just got to go direct to the contest and trust our big forwards to halve the contest. Really sick of seeing players wait too long and then get run down or let the opposition get back!

I listed those two because we got them pretty cheaply (pick 40 and 53). They both seem to have the right attitude and are natural footballers which is worlds away from our previous drafting under Bailey.

Yeah if we could get Selwood as a FA and another quality young mid draft pick that would be a win.
