By the way I just had an email sent from someone with access to player salaries (take it with a grain of salt). I'm not going to go into detail but some of the players salaries for people we don't rate was staggering. I seriously think we can make a massive play for Dangerfield this off-season and pay him a packet over the next two seasons while also maintaining a long term view. Really hope we can somehow get him over the line.

I like where you're heading but we would be badly losing in that trade. We should be aiming for a minimum of Howe for early 2nd round pick by itself. I'd be more interested in trading Howe for an established player though. Think Howe for Tomlinson or Trent McKenzie.

It's positive to look at that and the age of most of those players. I think this off-season we will be going for another tall forward (possibly two if we can snare Lynch and Tomlinson). I also would like to see us take a speedy forward/mid as we have struggled with Kent injured. By the way you've forgotten Viney. I imagine he will be best 22.

If we can get Lynch it would be massive for our forward line. Very good player.

I'd prefer Kelly off half back than Steve Johnson.

May want a change of scenery though. I'd definitely look at him as a UFA on a one year contract due to the drug scandal.

If we can get Tomlinson for our 2nd rounder that would be a huge win. Long term replacement for Dawes, and likely to replace him straight away....

What do people think Motlop is worth should we try and trade for him? I'd probably look at something like our first and 2nd pick for Motlop and their first pick back. Thoughts on that trade? The cats desperetaly need to replenish their list with 8 players over 30 on their list.

That's the problem…. no one will. He is at best a depth forward, we really need to find another tall forward, maybe Weideman?

I think we've pretty much done that over the last 3 drafts: Hogan Salem Brayshaw Petracca VandenBerg McDonald Stretch ANB JKH Viney Kent And that's not taking into account a few other players who may also play a big part moving forward: King, White, Toumpas, Hunt , Harmes. And add who we've brought in: Tyson, Garlett, Frost. That's a fairly good nucleus moving forward.

It's all well and good for clubs like North and Richmond to offer Treloar big money but they are also going to have to satisfy GWS. With our first pick and Howe we should have that covered....

Looking at Sam Day's averages they seem fairly underwhelming. Average disposals per game: 9.3 Average marks per game: 3.2 Average goals per game: 0.7 He was pick number 3 it's surprising he hasn't had as much bad publicity as Watts..... but then who has?

I think they are talking about LEWIS Jetta not Neville.

If we could add him and someone like Scott Selwood as free agents, plus our first round pick it could go a long way to us making finals next season.

What about this trade: Mebourne: Pick 1 (likely 4 or 5), Pick 2 and Howe GWS: Conglio, Tomlinson, Hampton Would they go for it?

I wonder if Barlow would be gettable. He seems to be out of favour as a pure mid and is being played of a HFF. Could do with him running through the middle!
