I think even chasing a low total the Vics would have still played safe. Winning the shield was a bigger prize then winning the match. Other then really forcing the wickets there wasn't a lot WA could really do.

Should be a good finish to the Shield final tomorrow, for anyone following along.. WA definitely on top in the match, currently 280 ahead at stumps on day 3 but the Vics only have to bat out the day to take it out. A big chase and a win would be nice but I think playing it safe on a pitch that hasn't shown a lot will be the way to go. Here's hoping Matty Wade is holding up the Shield tomorrow night

I think you missed the part about it being the WORLD cup. Channel 9 doesn't get great reception in the UK or India. Not to mention I dnt think the ICC gave anything away. I'd imagin Fox sports invested very heavily the broadcast rights and 9 would have to pay them just to air the Aussie games It's the way all sports broad casting is going. If you go to the U.S. it's all on pay TV. As it gets cheaper and more popular, free to air just won't keep up.

Most late picks in draft/rookie draft never play anyway. Pick him up with one of the late picks we got in the jeffy garlett deal and give a kid a go who wants to be at the club. No great loss if he doesn't come on and bonus if he does.
