They are important players because MFC are stuffed if they are out injured. Note I did not say he was better than Bruce. Who replaces Carroll at FB???? Have a look at our grand midfield without McLean and Jones in the mix....2nd year and he is ver important. Bate is going to be very very important to MFC and if we were to be successful this year he was one of the elements. Miller took 12 marks and 19 disposals and was inconsequential. He is a limited footballer and has been for years. I dont deny he tries and he does...he is not that good.

If we did not have Rivers we would have to go out and draft a capable CHB.....period.

Miller is versatile, he cant play half forward and he is limited down back. FCS what dont you know about Bizzell yet? Do you think McLean is any good given Miller is an up and coming star?

Lets keep Miller till he's at least 30 then we should give him another 2 years to work out if he will actually make the standard. Bizz should get another 5 years. What aload of toss about ND! Yes we do not want sub standard rookies like Pettard taking opportunities away from Bizz. Gotcha.

I agree about Woey. He played midfield. He was not good enough anymore. Where have I said Judd would turn things around? He would give it a shake. He would be the first fair dinkum star this club has had since Flower. Miller was out most of last year when we won 12 on the trot. Did wonders for morale. A second thought lets keep all our players even those till they are well past it even those that are not any good. We wont win any games but we will know those players will always be with us and we can sleep in peace at night. No wonder we have not won a flag in over 40years and pine for the ski season.

TJ goes forward out of play, Tagger follows....... TJ not in play gets few possessions... Makes Tagger look good ...mission accomplished. Part of TJ's problem has been the lack of class in the midfield with the injuries that it is so obvious to throw a tag on one of the few class players in the MFC side.

You are right. Lets curl up in a ball and wimp it. Its amazing about the experiment. You have been on about that since Round 2. Tanking at that point were we?

Some great posts on this thread Maurie. You are in fine form. I cant believe that anyone would honestly tank a year after Round 6 with the view of a top but uncertain draft pick. Abolsutely extraordinary. ML is quite right. Just to admit a job is difficult does not mean it cant be done and that MFC have given up.

I think that is the issue that alot of people have missed this in the burning of Daniher effigies. I am not confident that deep down after Round 2 with the injuries stacking up that ND realised that any hope of a shot at Top 4 and the season was gone. I think you have it right there Jaded about the future for ND. Kingsley should spend more timing consoling Ray Hall with his issues. He is more value doing that than playing.

How good's the draft occo? So should we outdo Richmond who have tanked the year? What effect does Richmond's capitulation have on their financial situation? Daniher has been witch hunted by the "experts" for various coaching shortcomings, now we want to tank the year? No wonder other teams attack our culture. The ski season cant be too far off.

So what would you like him to do in the media outline the game plan and tactics? That would be grand. He might do it if he follows your advice and tanks the year. SO what changed after more than six rounds of jumping into the coach for his lack of tactical nous that you want to tank the season? You have now given up on winning. Its definitely chucking it in. How can opt to "play the kids" and "play the best cards you have"? Doesn't Richmond ring any alarm bells? What do you think they got out of the game time against Geelong and hounding they have received in the media since? Oh no its great stuff that builds character! Also what do you major sponsors and paying members think when you tank the year after round 6 like Richmond has? Do they rush to sign up next year? Marvellous Daniher is getting experience into many of those players who have less than 3 years or 50 games. We need to get injured front line players back. We need to rebuild confidence in the side that has been decimated in the early rounds. We need to play to our ability of having an actually fit side. That is the best formula to introduce young players into the team. I have no doubt that Newton and Buckley will get there chance this year but our focus should be on winning and being as competitive as possible.

1. Young blokes can be deemed to include all players with less than 3 years or 50 games. We have many. 2. There are 3 players still to get a run. Newton, Buckley and Neville. Both Newton and Buckley are close. Neville isn't 3. The only thing that's strange is this comment: "It's quite obvious Daniher doesn't think he's up to it. " Its self serving a purpose at best.

Correct. We could look at the fact we had more inside 50s, kick 9 goals from 26 shots as the cause. Too hard for some. Lets blame the umpires.

That has been what's happened. I dont know why you are asking Old to answer that question. He has answered this clearly in the past when you have parroted on and on and on...... about the same thing. You are extremely slow if at all on the uptake. If you had a base level of gumption (open issue) you would see from Old's post that you be careful about adopting anything that Robbo says. He has history of operating his mouth in the media without contacting his brain. Wait.....I see your conection. How would you be in a position to make a valid judgment like that? Also, if we are getting smashed out of the middle in the clearances should not Paul Williams be a problem too? Another case of witch burning.
