The AFL confirmed on Tuesday it would limit the expenditure of clubs across the board, with just 25 football department staff allowed for the remainder of 2020. Goodwin is understanding of the need to cut costs due to the coronavirus crisis, but is worried too much cutting could lead to a regression in the quality of footy.

MND is a great cause but after weeks of no footy the AFL wants to maximise the audience and we just don't cut it.
