Lots of things are said during the silly season. My personal belief/read is that the relationship between a Trac and the club is irreparable. I know there is a contract I just don’t believe that when push comes to shove we will hold him to it and we will make the deal for picks to get it done. Will be rapt if by some miracle the BH trade happens. I will even be open to holding Trac to the contract and seeing him rock up to training on Day 1 but I’m positive that in 12 months will be here again with him. We’ll definitely know this time tomorrow. Whatever happens I’m Team First and we move on. I’ll be at the G Round 1 unless they match us up with GWS at Engie for the Clarry Clash. Too soon?

I just don’t have the same confidence that we won’t fold to get the trade done. I don’t believe we will walk Trac back and I think Gold Coast know this and don’t want to give up a young talent. I reckon they are prepared to deal with what happens in 12 months time if it means they can make a tilt in 26 with Trac and Humphrey.

I have to agree. There simply has not been the same nose in the media about this compared to the other big trades. Today’s interview by a deflated sounding manager came across as a soft rehearsal for next years push to get out to one of the big Vic clubs. Wouldn’t be surprised if there is a change in manager by this time next year.
