It's late notice....but I thought some of you may be interested

I heard a preview announced on ESPN saying that there is going to be a feature taking a look inside the Demon's camp, on their 7.00am Live program (3/3)

The good news is, if your hooked up - I think it will replay 3 times following the live edition (7.30, 8.00 & 8.30am)

I never watch the program, so I don't know what to expect - If it's crap, blame the T.V

i think i'll set the dvd recorder, hopefully it's reasonably comprehensive...

Not too much too report.

Bailey speaking about the punishment

Footage of the Robbo charge, the club yet to decide whether they will contest it - but from the footage, it looked like unavoidble contact, and I can't see what the fuss is?

He has his eye on the ball, looking to fly for the mark, and the Bulldogs player was backing into the pack - Robbo didn't see him until too late

Showed a little footage of the family day

Robbo escapes punishment. Just confirmed by the AFL:

"The match day report laid against Melbourne's Russell Robertson was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Robertson led for the ball and the Western Bulldogs' Cameron Wight jumped in front of him to mark the ball. Robertson had his eyes on the ball and did not see Wight until contact was unavoidable. Although Robertson turned side on just prior to contact the impact was decreased by Robertson attempting to roll off Wight. The degree of force was therefore considered not unreasonable or unnecessary in the circumstances. The contact was not considered late and therefore no further action was required."

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
