Current players returning to their state of origin ("home")

Melbourne has two - White and Johnson (although Johnson would probably not have survived at WCE anyway)

Sydney one - Davis

Western Bulldogs one - Akermanis, Eagleton (ex Port)

Carlton one - Stevens

St. Kilda - Gehrig

Collingwood - Rocca

WCE - Stenglein, Chick and Armstrong (was delisted from MFC, not really returning home)

Fremantle - McPharlin, Farmer, Headland, Bell, Carr (and Black who is Victorian but followed his WA wife)

Adelaide - Thompson, Bassett, Welsh and Torney

Port - Wakelin, Motlop

I am sure I have missed many, but the SA and WA teams have done well with returning players although, of course, they have lost a few too.

Adelaide has benefited the most. Scott Thompson is one of the best Midfielders in the AFL. (if only he was Victorian )
