Pick no.1 gws ,Tom Boyd......pick no.2 gws ,Josh Kelly however pick may be traded........pick no.3 St.Kilda, Billings..........pick no.4 W.Bulldogs , Aish...........pick no.5 Gold Coast, Hartung.........pick no.6 Collingwood, Bontempelli

pick no.7 Brisbane,Sharenberg pick no.9 melbourne ,Sheeds Hogan will announce his extension to his playing contract.

Odds for the Dees next senior assistant coach :-

VOSS 1-10

LING 8-1

Anyone else with 4 letters in surname 25-1 except having previously played for the Dees 500-1

I enjoyed a small profit backing ROOS at 9-1 for the next coach.

Whilst on the topic of the Dees,an author suggested that Taggart should get the axe because he hasn't played a senior game for the Dees this year.Just a reminder to all out there approx rd15 on the Dees website all senior listed players are to be given a go in the 1sts,Yet Taggert and Barry did not get a chance,we as a club are pathetic our word means zilch. If Neil Craig didn't give Fitzy a go he probably be delisted.

GO THE DEES 2014

Trade weeks finished on Friday... GWS have to use pick two...

Would be really happy to see Hogan and Frawley sign contract extensions and if we could land Ling as the senior assistant coach.... We would be well on our way to turning this sinking ship around...

Would have to wait till the end of next season for Ling though - he has a leadership role with North Melbourne.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
