To my knowledge, we don't have a formal social club.

It's been mentioned that a club like this could be useful for catching up to discuss the Demons and for events such as the draft and interstate games that a lot of members can't or don't want to go to.

Would anyone be interested in working together to get a social club up and running.

Here's some initial thoughts:

- charge members a nominal fees to cover any marketing costs, with the excess being donated to the club.

- use it as a way for club sponsors to get more exposure

- attempt to get members a discount for club merchandise by buying in bulk

    great idea, my time is a bit pushed as i do shift work but willing to help out if i can, might be worth contacting the club and discussing it. i'm sure we would get some interest from fans. P

    I guess the first things are going to be setting up a website to publicise events, speak to pubs in the city or Richmond in order to find one that is willing to host us on match days and give us exclusive right of a screen and speak to the club.

    Anyone else got any suggestions on the first things that are needed to set up a social club.

    That's pubs that the MFC owns, I was referring to a group for Melbourne supporters to catch up and watch matches etc.
