Pick 1. Tom Scully VIC

Pick 2. Jackson Trengove SA

Pick 18. Luke Tapscott SA

Trengove and Tapscott are best buddies! Tapscott is a solid bodied medium forward (178cm but still growing). Craves to play midfield too I have read.

That would give us 3 players who could pretty much play Round 1. Other picks to be used on KP I would hope. And possibly lure an uncontracted ready made KP from another club with pre season Pick 1.

B Cheney Warnock Rivers

HB Green Frawley Morton

C Davey Scully Grimes

HF Sylvia Watts Jetta

R Jamar or Spencer, Trengove, Jones

Something like that!

I cant really think at the moment and have probably missed some others who could have been included.

would love to have Tapscott.. but it is VERY unlikely he would drop to pick 18! I am pretty sure he will be a top 10 pick! :(

After reading this it really sounds like Morton is in it for the long run.

Good boy, Morty. But he's still just saying what the players are naturally going too. I want his contract negoiations cleared up.

Going by the versatility thing Bailey has going Trengove could be our man. IF Trengove as ive read somewere is a strong overhead mark and kick for goal we may not need a Butcher type stay at home forward.

We could develop a very versatile mobile forward line. Sylvia, Trengove, Davey, Petterd, Wona and Maric, can all play Midfield/roaming forward roles. Jurrah in what little game time he has had has shown he could run all over the ground. Watts, Morton and Martin could all provide tall mobile targets capable of pushing up the ground.

We could make it very difficult for the bigger full backs to find a match up against us. Whoever the traditional stay at home full back goes to just pushes further down the ground taking him out of his comfort zone. Meanwhile another forward can push deep taking his opponent deep and also out of his comfort zone.

Basically through rotating our forwards we can reshuffle their backline to the match ups that we want deep and run the bigger backs off there legs.

Well said, IMT. It's been said before, but very exciting times ahead.

Here is but a glimpse of the genius that is Tom Scully. Completely awestruck every time I view this clip. 0.52 brilliant kick on natural left. 1.48 look at that technique on his non preferred. And 3.59 just brilliant play.
