Dean Bailey on SEN 'Morning Glory'

Featured Replies

The Carroll situation is a delicate one & as such has to be signed of by MFC, Ricky Nixon, The AFL & the AFLPA - until that has been done the MFC will not publicly state what is going on exactly and what thery want.

If he says to the media that we want to draft Watts & we get Watts down to do training now etc - will will be in breach of the draft!! Great way to loose No1 pick I say.

Please everyone - have some patience for FS.

Also, can everyone please get off DB back??!! Comparing what he says to Matthews or Roos is a joke (dont forget they have been in the coaching caper a hell of alot longer than DB).

Give DB a chance & stop kicking him for everything!

the carroll thing annoys me and i dont know why bailey doesnt speak up....... he is deifinitley not a demon next year

on another topic.. i dont understand why he diesnt just say we are going to draft watts? and before you all abuse me i think it would be a good thing for him to say... get watts down there now and training and on the weights ets and give us as supporters some piece of mind and something to look forward to.....

watts will 100% be going number one and he knows it.... just bloody say it!!!

who cares if it then makes it easuer for other teams...... does it really make a difference??

John Fain is a bigot. Andy Maher take 4 sentences of sluring to say something that takes most people one. Red Symonds FTW!

John Faine is one of the best presenters and interviewers on radio. He is far more reasonable and balanced than someone like Neil Mitchell.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG to face the Tigers in their annual Blockbuster on ANZAC Eve for the 10th time. The Dees will be desperate to reignite their stuttering 2025 campaign and claim just their second win of the season. Can the Demons dig deep and find that ANZAC Spirit to snatch back to back wins?
