I've thought for a long time that one of the biggest problems we've had at the MFC is holding on to players too long. The one that comes to mind immediately is Newton. But there were many more. What about holding on to Yze and Bizzel without realizing they have passed their use by date? There were also guys like Lampril(?). I think he kicked a goal with his first kick at senior level and was held onto for years. I reckon a guy that can play 2 or 3 games a season is a wasted opportunity . (That's why I cringe when people say things like we got rid of Valenti(?) too early. Can you see a guy like that at his best slotting into a premiership side? What would his best be - 5 games a season? Anyway that's a different topic.)
I hope Aaron Davey is not a name that appears in a thread like this in a year's time.
Who was the most flogged dead horse - Grgic? (I think Geelong always thrashes us because we traded Grgic to them.)
