well I had a great time tonight up until I started to read some comments ==fair dinkum did any of you keyboard warriors go to the game
I did and with me was a solid card carrying still playing good footy MFC member
we both were thrilled at the effort .
and I tell you why
MFC has got better although a few mistakes cost us
we are better in many ways like
our tackling stuck
our closing chasing speed is much improved
our in and under is stronger
our field kicking is much improved NOR do we second guess were its going --we have confidence in the team AND don't play favorites like a few years ago
all new personnel showed plenty
happy to talk about the good and bad

I admit that I didn't have my glasses on when I read his votes in the WAFL sandover count BUT I couldn't see his name.
Cale got 8 votes and his brother got 7 votes so how good is Col getting a fat zero?
What a dud?
Ross Lyon s comment --Freo need to go too the draft and get some bona fide free agents couldn't have been a dig at waste of space Col could it?

Stress? What stress? I only find football stressful when a game is close.
Apparently Pedersen was best for Casey so I suspect he will come in along with Bail and Terlich (who I wouldn't play if I was selecting the side). I predict the outs will be Grimes (inj), Matt Jones and Riley. Barry doesn't really keep his spot on merit - rather he stays for the sake of personal development.
Frawley and Dunn should play in defence. And Watts should play on the wing. I'd also like to see Salem have a run on the ball. Otherwise he might freeze if he remains in the forward pocket all day. And any kicks he get have a better chance of finding a target than any of Matt Jones or Riley.
well yes seeing dumb footballers time after time can get you down plus as I still play and train i really hate having to front up to my football club in WA and get sympathy
Whilst the wrong side of 55 i kinda know after hundreds of games of footy what makes a footballer and we don't have many
I would get rid of watts any way the club can I honestly believe that his carefree attitude and great skill level without trying would burn a hole in the less gifted but harder working players and this may be the reason they don't kick to the pretty boy

As a member I get a no cost ticket and I usually treat a WC mate --but I am not going --cannot take the stress -- when in Melbourne went to round 2 at MCG enough said

The only excuse is a newbie first game and nerves disable his ability --has happened to me and I am a beautiful kick in and out of traffic --as to what JM excuse is --no talent simple really and no chance of improving at his stage of his career

I agree that winning a few games towards the seasons end would give the administrators a leg up for attracting sponsors/supporters and marketing campaign for next season however the real problem is lack of talent
Thankfully the dills have been moved on in the recruiting dept and we can have real impact at the coming draft
Ask N Jones if he wants ordinary players next to him in the centre square or champs in the making --pretty sure I know what he will say
Most of our list are honest triers --that works in Amateurs but not Professinal ? sport
As an interstater I would like to have a meeting place to meet with Demon supporters when I get to Melbourne

THE MATCH: NET GAIN IN THE WEST
in Melbourne Demons

hogan is quite fast at ground level and will improve his output when Dawes and others in the forward line get to know each other
in the first qtr the forwards weren't ready for us to win the ball out of the centre so many entries went over the head of MFC players we made a bad mistake NOT drafting silvagni when he was at casey
his body work and positioning was excellent
as far as Dawes kicking the ball to no one in the last qtr Yes he did --there was no leading player running to CHF --some one is at fault maybe coaches for set up or forwards playing too far up the ground or ??? but unless there was a boundary line lead that Dawes missed seeing it wasn't his fault
our team couldn't stop Hill he was a machine
Walters did not a lot but what he did was a class above anything else on the day
