  1. Geez it's just a guess. I used the word 'believe' as an expression 'I'm guessing that the players are.." . Don't twist my words. But I think with the signing of Paul Roos, there is much more incentive for an uncontracted guy to stay. This deal probably wouldn't happen if that was the case.
  2. Like I said take it for what its worth. It's fair to say that Frawley has still not re-upped with us possibly for a reason. If he was contracted, I don't think this sort of deal would be put forward. And I also have skepticism about the addition of the pick.
  3. Bonjour everyone, I am pumped after Paul Roos' statement tonight. This combined with the rumours of the family and cash incentives to coach us seems convincing to me that he will be our coach. But on Facebook (Yes I know, COMPLETELY RELIABLE) I saw a rumour that has been untold of thus far. Paraphrased, It reads: - An interstate on baller has been offered a ton of money by our club (Possibly Adams, Swallow) - Working on bringing another on baller of the same level of talent - Looking at a Melbourne-based ruckman who has played '80 odd games' and doesn't want to play for the coach for a defender and a draft pick. - At least 10 delistings this year and most of the players know who they are. Regarding the 3rd point, I think for numerous reasons that the players are McEvoy for Frawley and a pick. - McEvoy has played 84 games - Frawley is a defender and has links to St Kilda through Spud - Melbourne would target someone who will help their midfield through hit-outs in exchange for a surplus of tall defenders (Tom McDonald plays on Frawley's opponent whilst Col Garland is switched to a taller man that he is capable of guarding.) - St Kilda, as stated many times on Fox Footy has a major shortage in the field of 23-27 year olds and also a shortage of premium defenders as they have guys like Blake (retiring), Roberton isn't superb like Frawley but useful playing as the 2nd Defender and Sam Gilbert is not really a strong defender as he is a rebounder. Hypothetically if this was to happen, I would have mixed feelings. We are losing someone who is seriously strong at holding the amazing forwards of the game and throwing Tom McDonald into the fire quite early. But this wouldn't be as much of a problem if our midfield could win the footy in the middle through the gained Hit-outs. Take it for what it is worth
  4. Who do you think made them soft?? Maybe the generations are more demanding because there are increasing problems in the world that the next generation has too fight. This is totally discriminatory and patronising. For someone of your 'status' as a superior this is incredibly childish. Back on topic, we need more guys like Jack Viney and less like Watts. Watts represents everything wrong with this club and I hope more people stop seeing him as a #1 pick who will come good and more of a weak Brighton Grammar Boy.
  5. Only Frawley would let Jonathan Brown eat him for breakfast at 31 years old. Why this guy is in the leadership group is beyond me.
  6. Definitely needs to find form. I have to cringe every time he comes out of the backline. He's way too slow on the switches in the back half, indecisive and kicks the ball numerous times out on the full. Also needs to play in front more. Yes, he WAS a truly spectacular backman 2 years ago but I'm not judging him on what he was so much as what he is now. Management will ponder the idea of trading him whilst other clubs still think his value is high.
  7. Knowing the luck of this club from the tanking precedent, we will get pinned for doing nothing wrong. If however, this club is found of losing games on purpose and cheating when trying to win then I dunno, might just have to walk away from AFL. Most corrupt game after Baseball.
  8. Would love to see Max Gawn get a run this week. I think Jimmy Magner has been extremely unlucky not to get a game yet despite his terrific form in the VFL. Sick of Frawley, needs a reality check in the 2s I think. Consistently getting beaten and always plays behind.
  9. Don't agree with this. You seriously don't think Neeld overworked them last week? And not to mention a rugby game is way out of training hours. You kill the enjoyment of the players then they want to be traded at the end of the season.
  10. Neeld deserves to do a Primus and walk out on this club. I haven't seen a weaker effort by a playing group than tonight!
  11. Well well well, look who it is! The guy who criticised me for not sticking with team has now completely contradicted himself. Get off your high horse mate. You're just like the rest of us!
  12. Well I'd say we're a REAL good shot after tonight.
  13. I knew I would be discriminated for my age. But I said it anyway. You know the average age for videogamers is 37 right??
  14. A LOT of them switch teams around 10-11. It's almost a hipster thing now to support Melbourne. I'm not sure if it builds good character to the younger ones when 50 year old supporters are yelling 'That's ****ing ball ump'
  15. Yep I'm done with them if that is the sort of effort they will put out every week. Also where did you get that drafting bs from?? You know what, Brock McLean, Jared Rivers and Brent Moloney gave up on the Dees and they're flying right now. 12 years of membership and I'm allowed to review my support for the Dees, much like some of the obnoxious people on here are reviewing the coaching situation. My age has nothing to do with it.
