  1. I did chuckle at those that were saying during the week anything less than a 60+ point win would be unacceptable. I honestly don't think we could even do that to a VFL side at present, and the Dons to be fair were a lot stronger than what most were expecting.

Still, to actually lose to them is atrocious! We were meant to be at full-strength? And to not just lose, but to lose the way we did, in such a characteristic fashion. This will hurt membership sales in the next couple of weeks.

We've been saying this for a decade now, and still yet to win one, but Round 1 is absolutely vital now. Win and all is forgiven, the memory of this terrible pre-season campaign is instantly wiped out. Lose badly, and the spotlight will be turned onto us once again.

  2. I love jonesy as much as all dees supporters do and should but a midfield spot in the AA is the hardest spot to get into. There's only '3' midfield posistions available plus wings and they even throw mids onto the flanks now! And as much as I love jonesy you can name 8-10 better mids than him.

  3. Drama queen. Easy to do with only 2 games left and none home matches. Feel your pain, but you'll sign up again. If not, you are just a fan, not a supporter.

What's the difference between a fan and a supporter in your eyes though? Can a fan not be as disappointed as a member from the garbage they served up today? Can a fan not say enough is enough? Or is that for members only?

  4. There's no excuse why we shouldn't get a priority pick now

We shouldn't get one because we will just f*** it up again and bring two good young kids into this toxic environment and wreck their careers. Seriously more charity is not what is needed to fix this club, we could have the first 10 picks next year and still wouldn't get any better

  5. Well there you go. 2 goal less quarters at our home ground, against a side with the same amount of wins as us, missing half their list and down to 2 on the bench. Just take your money and go roosy, this club cannot be salvaged.

  6. Thanks. Well at least he didn't get injured and got a bit of match practice.

Pretty much how I saw it too. Had a run, and no injuries. He's very vocal on and off the ground which is a good quality and hates losing contests. Had a ball kicked over his head and his opponent marked it, he swore very loudly but turned straight away and smothered the ball to our advantage which was good to see

  7. Well what is the true position then? Has he played well according to you? Do you expect him to play next week for the Dees, on the back of today?

I am interested to hear what you saw today.

Would be very very surprised if he played senior footy this year, match fitness is the only reason for that though. Delivery was horrible today. Kicked over his head with the wind a few times, was double teamed in a few contests and went third man up for the spoil on 3 occasions. Had about 4 good one on ones and won 3 of those so to say his opponent had the better of him is incorrect. Wouldn't have played half the game I'd say and half of that was when we had the wind against us so the ball didn't enter our forward half.

  8. Those expecting Hogan to debut next week, can forget it. He is clearly rusty, not match fit and has had 4 possies at the 17 min of the last quarter. According to the Casey radio guy, he has been soundly beaten by his opponent, Fletcher Roberts, whoever he is.

Not true at all. Match fitness would be a worry but the rest of that statement is rubbish. Casey radio bloke has no idea

  9. Not much impact from the toump I'm afraid guys. Horrible quarter from the boys 9.10. 64 to scorps 5.6. 36 we have the wind in the last quarter though. Ball hardly got into our half if the ground that quarter and hogan only played about half the quarter so no impact from him either. Pedo holding a few marks, blease had a good second quarter and bulls done some good things too.

  10. Last year I also decided not to renew my membership as I wasn't enjoying going to games anymore, I wasn't enjoying getting smashed every week and watching our 'players' put in little to no effort. Today was the first and only game I've been to all year (due to free tickets from a mate) and I can safely say I don't regret that decision at all. If anybody finds a 2013 membership scarf at etihad it's all yours I won't be needing it. This team has lost me.
