  1. I liked the bloke and am sad he is gone, but not surprised. If we had of had a half decent team the past couple of years he would've been an absolute champion of the game.

Players are temporary, the club is forever (unless it keeps playing crap and folds...)

  2. It was nice being excited about the idea of Dangerfield, but im ok with it just being an idea.

We need a few more solid grunt players before going for a big fish or two in my opinion. We dont want a situation where a Dangerfield type player gets injured, then all of a sudden we start losing games because we are lacking in key areas. (Still wouldnt complain if Dangerfield came though haha)

  3. Ive been watching Grimes closely for a while now since my father made a point about how he is just very very average... This season, the season we need a player (a captain no less) to stand up and make a statement... Grimes goes backwards. Needs to be dropped and seriously considered stripping of Captaincy. This is based on two years and a bit of observation, not a quick reaction to current affairs.

  4. I like Grimes, but he is just not good enough to be captain during this time. This might be fine in clubs that have a solid culture but right now the Dee's need a captain who represents where the club needs to go, or the values the players need to have (passionate, toughness, grit, never back down, always consistent). Grimes is good and is a passionate Dee, but he's just not good enough to lead the Dee's at this point in time. Jones for Captain, Grimes for Co-Captain.

Dawes would be a good option if he remained injury free (We need on field leaders who play all season)

  5. Not sure about that. I have no doubt they intended to boost their player development but I'm not yet convinced that anything taken (legal or not) has actually been proven to improve performance or player development.

If it helps them heal even a day quicker, thats a day quicker they can get back to training. It may not directly improve performance, but it hastens the process of improvement and development. Besides taking a fat loss substance (even if it doesnt work) indirectly effects performance enhancement because it allows you to eat more without the food converting to fat... Things dont have to directly relate to performance enhancement to be performance enhancers.

  6. Pedersen has some flaws, but he's far more creative and certainly much quicker than Sellar. It's like we've upgraded from The Reject Store to KMart when we really need David Jones...to go with Nathan and Matt.

why would you want david jones? high price standard quality... we already have a few of those types i think. Better off going with amazon or something that will still be operating in ten years time. :-)

  7. The ironic thing will be that if Neeld is sacked, the "experts" as well as the media flogs will come out saying it was the wrong decision and that the club is a rabble.

This is exactly what I hate about the media these days... whatever happens today the media will have no idea until its made public. The media is a joke.

  8. I don't post very often, however I picked as soon as we got hogan in the mini draft that toumpas was part of that deal...... Let me say more than 2.5 years out that I believe as soon as hogan is out of contract he will ask for a trade to Fremantle. In the next 2-3 years they will have pavlich, sandilands and mcpharlin out of contract. Those 3 players would represent more than 2 million in their cap... They missed out on Clark and Cloke they are desperate to find a big forward and he will be the man,,,,,,

give him a reason to stay and he might... besides... they will target ppl over the next 2.5 years to fill those potential voids. 2.5 years is a long time in football.
