Thank you, I’m sure the forward line at training is very open at present! As probably only allowed two players on each end of the ground!

Rephrasing my question to get a more definitive response! Not that I don’t appreciate your creativity!

Over preseason did any of the track watchers (K Martin, Saty etc.) notice what we were practicing in regards to improving entry to the forward line!

Of course it was practiced, it was practiced nearly every session

Unfortunately the practice didn't equate into the first real game

It had been good in both Marsh games and the North practice match, I also thought it got a bit better in the last 2 qtrs against West Coast

With all the cost cutting  I am sure the Club would look at some of the coaching experts on here popping down voluntarily to teach the players

Don’t believe me, big guy? Ask the other 20 or so Demonlanders who were at the same get together as me who heard it. Ex coach was there as recently as last year so work it out.

    And it was?

So it was McCartney, he had an opinion on everything, doesn't necessarily mean that opinion was right

Talked a few times to him, didn't agree with everything he said, seemed to have a bit of underlying bitterness about the whole industry

Note ex coach for going forward

Gee I find myself reading some of  your posts with the Grandpa Simpson voice in my ears these days. I really don't like the Saty-bashing but I don't think the level of aggression in your post was warranted Saty.

Your opinion, thought the comment was awful and 'a coach', who?

Never been a fan of opinion based on anonymous facts

Besides which don't care a jot what anybody on here thinks of me, even though they may think so, they are not that important

Last October I spoke to a former member of the coaching staff who commented when asked about what he thought of Brayshaw, that although he thought he was a great guy and full of potential,

”Gus needs to decide whether or not he wants to be an AFL footballer...”

    Name the name

Brayshaw has battled his way back from concussion issues, maybe the 'coach' didn't see him in tears when he got knocked out at VFL level in a comeback game

To even be playing still at AFL level is a testament to the fact he wants to be an AFL footballer, could have walked away and no body would have blamed

I know I wouldnt say anything about a certain player so I won't

But HTF a slow,no skilled player, that plods gets a game and others with REAL TALENT miss out is perplexing! To say the least.

We will go nowhere whilst he is in the team IMV

Because you have no idea what role Goodwin wants him to play and unlike you Goodwin obviously thinks he can play that role

It's like on here, some posters profess to know a lot about footy and then proceed to show they don't, in my opinion of course

They excel at trollng though to compensate

Are you for real? Was a completely reasonable comment from RBG.

Not for the first time you are well out of order.

Not for the first time, mind your own business, and let the mods handle it

His comment, in my opinion, was out of order, the Club has done an excellent job in providing information under the circumstances

Why blare the noise about AVB, imagine how he is feeling now

Surprised me. Bedford and Pickett are the small forward combo. Where is Spargo pegged in to play. Certainly not the midfield.

If you bothered to listen, Tommy Mc said Spargo is one the best kicks, kicking into the 50

So he will be link between mids and fwds

    Yup, I did.

The MFC have been so poor on sharing this kind of info and there hasn't been much news asides from COVID 19 stuff that I've given up on checking the MFC website and even Demonland for actual player/footy news for the last week or so.

Actual footy will be a great break from the real world for a while, while it lasts.

What a pathetic answer, the club has hit all media channels to provide info, did you not watch Max on Facebook, the Inside Melbourne with the 3 Amigis etc etc  a cheap pot shot again

Why are people saying we are too small?   Have they not watched footy the last 4 years and missed seeing Richmond dominate with their fleet of small forwards?

Just look at tonights game and you will see nothings changed -

    Halftime

    Castagna 2 goals
    SHai Bolton 2 goals
    Lambert 1
    Rioli 1

    Team selection was spot on.

    Your first parsgraph is correct

No Mate. Goodwin is still there  His changes will be incremental

Burgess has come in and taken the the team so far, to levels they have never been to before.
somewhere we should have been long ago

I also wonder how much credit goes to Gary Pert...

You are also forgetting the input from the players, Goodwin and Burgess gave them a plan whilst they were on their break, they ALL bought in

If you also listen Goodwin states the players were 'confused with the meaages they were receiving in 2019, Goodwin has ensured during the pre season that EVERYBODY is on the same page

Pert has done what a CEO should do, keep his head out of the media, unless required  and make sure offield is ticking over

And you wonder why you get slapped around.

Nah, sorry, said before like having a battle of wits with unarmed opponents, they troll to call others trolls, laughablr

@dazzledavey36   you seem to be in the minority that thought Hibbo had a poor game

Same with some who thought Jetta was poor, so how much influence did Puopolo have?

  12. 10 minutes ago, JakovichScissorKick said:

    Ignore the troll.

Ha ha, a troll is someone who personally attacks another person rather than posting anything relevant

    Congratulations

So you are going to attack anyone with a different opinion

This site is constantly spoilt by posters not accepting differing opinions and playing the man

I have backed up why I disagreed with @The Swimming Dee on Bedford, just awaiting a reply on Bedford's goal

  13. 8 minutes ago, The Swimming Dee said:

My comment was I thought Spargo had a better game than Bedford. Read it however you like though champ

Retrospective editing of what you said, the defence when you can't back up what you said

You said Bedford miskicked his pass to Melksham, if you had watched Bedford at Casey, like I have, you would know he was adept at that kick

Any comment on his goal or did he miskuck that as well?

Spargo is back to his 2018 form

Saty is completely out of his depth when it's not a training thread.

Not I am not, some of the posts on players border on the absurd, the back 6 was solid, some reports have Hiibberd in the best, unlike some on here who have absolutely no idea

Try being constructive instead of your normal boorish, high horses self

The comment @The Swimming Dee made about Bedford was laughable

Notice most of the negative comments are coming from the usual hairshitrt wearers

  15. 18 minutes ago, The Swimming Dee said:

Just finished watching the replay but 100% disagree. Spargo played inside the system and with skill. Bedford’s goal assist was him going for goal that dropped short.

I thought Spargo was very good

I suppose Bedford's goal from the touchline was him trying to put it to the top of the square, I think drowning would be a more appropriate moniker

big game for Weideman, who never seems to be a consistent showing week to week.

I must say Omac seems to play way more games then what he offers. even with May and Lever in he's selected.

Omac will take Patton, allowing Lever and May to play their roles ,not sure which bit the experts don't get on here. The coaching staff have faith in Omac, a young defender still learning his craft
