  1. you have done it again, painting your opinion as fact and superior to others based on not a lot really. his initial comment was "Provided we keep on improving, IMO if he hasn't signed by our next bye he is gone I reckon." hardly an outrageous opinion to have and just that, an opinion. you clearly disagree, so I invite you to explain why it's a pointless and stupid opinion to have?
  2. N.Jones - consistent all day Grimes - errors but effort Salem - next rising star Watts - gaining some momentum Toumpas - great footy smarts Viney - always first in Frawley - Provided a target Tyson - scary 24 gamer Dunn - outstanding all game Cross - great stopping performance Garland - reliable and safe Pedersen - continued fine year Vince - playing his role Kennedy- Harris - tried too much McDonald - brave and steady Gawn - had little impact Howe - a few cameos Jamar - lionhearted as always Bail - solid half forward M.Jones - provided good run Terlich - brave and solid Jetta - most improved player?
  3. Hahah i'm not sure you'd want to brag about being " the Toffees", but I take your point.
  4. Every comment I have heard on our current emblem is that it's too busy, but I don't mind it as a business logo, probably looks alright on a letter head and so on, maybe doesn't reflect the " demons" side of the club well enough
  5. believe what you want, but if you act like a dick people are going to pull you up, i'd suggest the fact you haven't worked that out yet means you aren't as chirpy in person as when you have a keyboard infront of you.
  6. This has probably also ensured Mark neeld is never a senior coach again which might be equally as good for the footy industry
  7. I am very confident Brett Kirk would also have a similar level of knowledge of the game plan as roos and if roos stuck around as director of coaching or something that would be fantastic
  8. What do we need going forward, I reckon ( assuming chip stays ) we need one more key forward, another good ruck prospect and some more midfield depth we should chase Gorringe Tommlinson Rosa Mackay
  9. Rohan Bail is now a very good half forward, wins his own ball, tackles, kicks goals
  10. " So in other words, you have absolutely no idea and will pin your arguments to a leaky ill-conceived floating bathtub. Cool. " i'd say that's jumping down his throat, and it's really funny because you didn't even have a theory with any more merit than that to offer, and you're just telling me to harden up because you know i'm right and don't know what else to say. you always rattle your opinion off like it's fact and have a go at anyone who doesn't agree with you.
  11. After watching our game with Port I am sure Eddie and Bucks are worried and have a list of excuses already lined up for when they embarrassingly lose to a side like Melbourne.
  12. He's from Vic, but I am pretty sure he signed a long term deal with the Giants last year. kid's going to be a very good player.
  13. I really think most people knew there was a chance he might retire, but I think a lot of his actions since have been that he still loves the club, not that he has his bags packed for freo.
  14. It's absolutely baffling how quickly Roosy has changed the culture of the club, suddenly we have a never say die, team first attitude and a genuine deep belief that we should and can win every single week regardless of location, opposition, who's in who's out whatever, we are fast becoming a fair dinkum AFL club again.
  15. I wonder if a condition of breaking his contract would be that he couldn't sign with a club other than MFC for a certain period of time?
  16. they have a decent list, I just can't understand why they are so inconsistent.
  17. That's fine, so you ignore the comment, instead you jump down someone's throat without having anything more insightful to offer, he can express his opinion freely, just because it's not the same as yours doesn't make it wrong, he might well be correct.
  18. To be fair Machsy, I think just about everyone is basing their positions on chip on their own opinions, hardly a reason to jump down someone's throat. or perhaps you have something more insightful to offer, if it's just an opinion and not based on fact you prove my point.
  19. we really can't lose, he's playing forward and we have the third best defence in the comp, that will continue to improve, especially as our midfield does, if he leaves we get a top 5 pick and add some more top end talent to our list, or trade that pick for another dom Tyson type deal.
  20. I just don't agree that he is gone if he hasn't signed by our next bye, regardless of what we do on field I can't see him re-signing before the end of the year, if nothing else the concern over potentially losing him might get a better deal from us
  21. Paul Seedsman and Kyle Martin, two fringe players at Collingwood Seedsmen, is fast, a great runner, long accurate kick, and I reckon has the potential to get a lot better. Martin is a ball magnet, hard and tough, doesn't seem to be rated by Collingwood as much as I think he should. could probably snare Seedsman cheaply, and Martin as a DFA
  22. Disagree, I think he will be true to his word and make a decision at years end, he won't want to sign based on a few good games and have us play terrible after that, Roosy and PJ will do absolutely all they can.
  23. it's downright scary that this kid has only played 24 games, add another 76 to that and I reckon we are looking at potentially the best mid in the comp, and Viney might well not be far behind him
  24. I think the more defining point is that the Hawks stars are ageing, as are the cats, as are the dockers, if he wants to leave for a flag the suns might be the best bet, and they are probably 2 years off still, staying with us is suddenly not writing off any chance he has of a flag, we could be around the mark within 4 years the way we are improving and our list is shaping.
