from day one, the spin has been that Essendon are the misunderstood victims and ASADA are the big bad wolf that's out to get them. now this has reached the world stage, they can't spin this as a personal vendetta the WORLD anti doping agency has them in their crosshairs and that would not be the case if they simply didn't do anything wrong and it's all spin because of politics, we're above that now.

Granted, ruckman can be late bloomers, and Spencer is improving but we really need an imposing ruckman now you only have to look at the difference Mumford made at the Giants

I don't think asadas case was as bad as people say, I just think without the testimony of the two who backed out it was corcumstancial and the AFL tribunal system always had a goal of its own I don't think it will take much to turn this case from bad to very solid

I reckon rev If wada find one player guilty the rest will get the same verdict

I think it's smart by wada, drag it out and keep it in the back of the bombers minds, now it seems to have caught them off guard a little bit

Scary thing is this kid will get a lot stronger and learn how to use his body

Not really on the topic of the ASADA stuff ash but how do you view Hird as a coach? From my perspective his ego gets in the way of common sense at times

We had a massive crack at Scott Selwood the year we got Tyson, west coast refused to deal though, perhaps the same deal is on the table for him if he wants to come as a free agent I feel like the appointment of McCartney and the way the list is shaping we may well look to the draft anyway

Their recruiting has been worse than ours. The list is In awful shape and the club is fractured and divided, very much reminds me of us when Bailey was sacked. They must make every decision a winner from now or more pain to come

Picket, I thought Toumpas had presence in the sense that he was one of the only players willing to gut run, and he did some nice things, sure he could win more contested ball and win more of the ball in general but I think that's the next step in his development I felt the weekend showed that he is capable, still has a lot of improvement in him though

It's great to see a bombers supporter that doesn't have his head in the clouds, well done ash I've stated previously that it should be as simple as no records= guilty, it's been established that a pretty serious injection program was in place, in my opinion if the bombers haven't kept records of that its not only a disastrous failure from a management perspective, they have failed the players and competition but I believe the sporting body should punish them as though it is the worst case scenario unless they can prove its not. It's just my opinion, I sincerely hope Essendon have done nothing wrong for the players sake but we aren't talking about kids forgetting homework, it's a professional sporting organisation and there is no excuse. The very possibility they could have done this destroys my confidence in and love for the sport.

I just think our mid will improve with natural progression, add Viney, Salem a fit Trengove and petracca in there with another pre season and it might be a totally different midfield Jones, vince, lamumba, cross, Viney, Trengove, Tyson, Salem, Toumpas, stretch, petracca, vandenberg, There is some talent there, just need guys like Trengove and Toumpas to capture some good form Would love to add Dylan Shiel, Mathew leuenberger, Scott Selwood and Charlie Dixon to the list over the off season.

Thanks machsy, didn't really know much about him besides he's a big unit, really think a good ruckman should be close to the top of our priorities

Ash, I think if there was any smoking gun like records out there that would clear Essendon the investigation wouldn't have gone Ahead, do ASADA need a warrant to search the bottom of the shredders at windy hill?

I heard Leigh Mathews talk about the Dees yesterday, and he said he really liked the way things were building, said if you have a bookend at either end of the ground who is capable of playing at AA level ( Hogan and Mcdonald ) and then build around that with guys like Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem, Toumpas, Trengove all high picks and very talented than you'll generally be okay in the long run

i'd be really tempted to play him on the Wing still, especially now we actually have a forward line

Our most important player, imo as important as hogan and jones

you know WYL i'd love to see the guys just told to back themselves in, turn and look to play on at every opportunity, the ratonale being that if we get it in there quick, odds on Hogan, Dawes and Garlett are going to give us a chance to score, and we know our defenders can defend very well if we turn it over i'd rather see us making mistakes trying to take the game on than the stop start hesitation too scared to make an error stuff

I think it's always been a case of as someone else said ASADA and WADA have 123 4567 9 of the story, they know what the missing numbers are but can't prove it, i reckon we all know fundementally what went on there was wrong

If we did that this weekend odds are Roughy would kick 10
