  1. It would have only netted us the lowest pick possible a 3rd rounder approx 50, due to picks not compounding
  2. We got shafted if Chaplin is worth a second rounder surely Rivers is as well
  3. I agree he is not tough but then to say he isn't aggressive after stating he niggles and throws elbows seems contradictory. I would love to see our defenders get some swagger about them, being a nasty, annoying, stingy defence is an attainable goal and would give our team some form of identity.
  4. Yeah never been a fan of self-imposed nicknames, his is an absolute shocker.
  5. Reminds me a lot of our very own James Frawley; not a huge kid but very good in 1 on 1's loves to run & carry and use the fend off. GWS are crying out for a quality defender, don't think they will take him top 3 but I'm sure they will be hoping he is there at 12.

Brian Cushing, Houston Texans inside linebacker and defensive captain is out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL, plays a big part of their defence and will be much worse off without him. The key will be for Packers O-Line to keep Watt off Rodgers, they guy has been wreaking havoc this year second in sacks got a few forced fumbles as well, should be a fun game to watch.
  7. It all comes down to the player's personality; Tim Duncan the greatest basketball player of his generation (bias Spurs fan) demeanour rarely changes and is able to react the same way after a loss or win. Don't get me wrong he is competitive beast on the court who strives to win, but being able to move on and not internalise all the negatives emotions is not a bad thing (especially with all the losses we Demons play in). You can also look at the NFL to Cam Newton's whose team has been struggling, and his dour mood is causing fractures in the team and obviously affecting his game as he has no confidence in his own ability. I couldn't imagine Swanny getting to caught up on a lose, obviously it'll hurt at the time but dwelling over it will cause more harm than good.
  8. I can't see Vlastuin slipping outside top 10 let alone 20 but we can still hope. He is reminiscent of Toby Greene and Taylor Adams from last year, tough hard at it clearance players with clean disposal, these sorts are low risk you know he will make an impact and contribute form day dot just might not have the upside in terms of athleticism as the top 5.
  9. The NFL FA compensation is nothing like AFL's, the earliest any team gets are end of third rounders. Teams don't plan to try and protect their potential first round compensation and the like. The AFL should adopt the same, give very minimal compensation if at all.
  10. I disagree, it is not as if we are one gun away from being in the finals we need as much quality as we can, I would say picks 12 and 13 is equivalent to 4. However 12,13 and 14 is far superior to pick 4; Sydney's midfield was built around a collective all willing to work as one. It takes 4 or 5 quality midfields to win a GF, not 1 or 2. Note last year Toby Greene, Devon Smith and Taylor Adams the three midfielders I deem to be around the best of the bunch were taken 11 onwards, the more picks you have in the first round the greater room for error you have and the greater chance to pick up a star.
  11. Because heaps of clubs want him, he won't make it through to the PSD. Richmond are front runners at the moment
  12. Derek Hine is the best, getting his 2nd in charge is a good result
  13. A club with $1.8 million extra cap pouncing on a 20 year old is unique and not comparable to 29 year olds leaving clubs because they are not required or deemed not worth the cost.
  14. Agree wholeheartedly if the club chooses not to match the offer or doesn't require the player anymore they should not receive compensation it's ridiculous.
  15. Yeah I would be happy with Mayes as well, really nice size and athlete plus he is one of the best kicks (whether at goal or to a target). Midfielders who can go forward are invaluable.
  16. Jack Billings is a small goal kicking midfielder with heaps of promise, Tom Boyd would be who you're thinking of dominated the TAC cup as a 16 year old who makes Hogan look small, he's 198cm and 100kg.
  17. So you would rather take Viney at 3, rather than use it in a Hogan trade?
  18. http://bigpondvideo.com/AFL/494756 Has a bit of Michael Walters about him with the tank to run through the midfield, looks promising.
  19. People need to remember GWS also passed on bidding for Jack Viney, as realistically we were always going to take him and they could have kept us honest. So in effect it is; IN: Viney, Hogan, Barry, 20 OUT: 3, 13, 26 which is obviously a win for the Demons.
  20. The mocks on bigfooty (not that they're perfect) had him around a bouts the 4th round so he offers very little trade value
  21. Hutchy saying Melbourne have done a deal to get Viney at 26

Seems all the earlier games were the close contests and the later morning games are blowouts, Vikings, 49ers, Patriots and Bears all doing numbers on their opposition today. Minnesota defence stifling the Titans only allowing 5 first downs up until now.
  23. I would put my money on Dave Misson being a big advocate for Farren, would have first hand experience of how fit he is.
  24. Clearly you fail to comprehend what speculation means, it is the the contemplation or consideration of some subject or a guess: a message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence. I'm sure you would rather turn this into a comprehension debate as your football knowledge is certainly lacking
