  1. I'd be keen, would add a different dimension to the forward line, some hardness and precision and experience, 2 years ala jordan lewis style, not huge money and a late pick, for the right price there's upside there

This is pro sport not some sort of fantasy league waynk fest.

I don't think there's any need for that.

As for points, they are relevant in that we gave up a pick (35) that we could have used to help engineer the McAdam and Fullerton trades or a trade to get higher in the draft.  Teams giving up high picks value points as a way to assess whether they got a fair and equitable deal.

Got North's pick back so hopefully we are in discussions about this

North's pick was only 44, so I hope we aren't discussing accepting that pick.  Unless we are talking about the End of First from north for next year, because that would be the only acceptable option there.

  4. I think we are a bit light on for depth in that area to be fair, whenever Langdon or Hunter go down we have to draw from other areas which weakens the forward line, midfield or half back line.  Having someone in the twos waiting and putting pressure on the position (for the right price) isn't a bad idea.

  5. I can't be neither going through this entire thread to check if this has been mentioned before but in case it hasn't,  I just felt like I have to say, Steven May's speech after receiving the 5th place trophy was absolutely epic. 😎

Good list fit. First thought is a future 3rd, let’s not waste time haggling an easy kill trade when there’s bigger fish to fry. Get it done Monday and welcome him to a great opportunity.

Agreed, future 3rd seems fair.  My guess is brisbane ask for our 2nd this year and we settle on our end of second free agency compo for JJ

  7. I like it, with Grundy moving on we need coverage for Max when he is tired or gets injured.  If he can roll forward and kick goals like he does in the VFL (52 shots for 30 goals in 18 games at 58%) then he is better than what we had with Grundy, he's young so has plenty of scope for development and will, I imagine, a boatload cheaper than Grundy's enormous salary.

Win-win depending on the trade value.  Future 3rd?

  8. Trying to find a use for years of scarves, the mum in law turned a bunch of them into blankets to keep the kids warm at the footy.  Plz ignore the mess 🙈

  9. Sucks to see Hunt go, I always liked the way he went about it on and off the field.  Sad to not be able to yell out "Run, Jayden, Run!" at the top of my lungs anymore 😢 and getting only 52 in return is just the icing on the 💩 cake

  10. I really rate Josh Corbett, he's the right age, good for his size and a decent kick we could pick up for a good trade.

Let's not forget Jason Dunstall was only 188cms, so height isn't everything.

BBB did what we needed and helped win us our first flag in 57 years, even with injury clouding his performance.  A solid preseason should get him right hopefully.

...Both teams seemed to play as though it was quite slippery which was weird considering how beautiful it's been in Melbourne this weekend...

Part of that is the AFL's ridiculous notion of not letting the teams kick the balls in during their pre-match.  When they are brand new even the red balls are slippery, but if anyone has ever kicked a brand new yellow Sherrin around you'll know how annoying slippery they are until they get some miles on them.

  12. Hard to change a winning side, particularly when you consider that the scoreboard flattered Richmond ( even 50/50 kicking sees 16 goals and a 50 point win)

I think Dunstan did enough to keep his spot, I'd give Harmes a rest didn't do enough for mine and has been a bit off for a couple of games.

Smith would have been a GF player if he wasn't injured late in the year and he has been better again when he's been in the side this year, stiff if he was dropped.

My call as controversial as it will sound :

    Viney in for Harmes.

    Lever in for Jordan.

Jordan the medi-sub so Bedford can get some game time in the twos.  Tmac stays at Casey, can't drop Weideman when he's averaging 2+ per game.  Brown will get another week to prove the Brown/Weideman combo works.
