  1. I do not see the point in getting stuck into Jamar when we have so many players under performing. He is one of eighteen on the field, the dees performance or lack thereof is not just his fault. They do need some experienced people out there, I agree, maybe he is not a Darren Jolley etc. but give the guy a chance.
  2. Why bother with Moloney, how he plays now. He left the dees, it is over. He had a good season for us a couple of years ago and didn't do much afterwards. He no doubt will have good and average games for Brisbane as well, he is what he is. Let it go. If not why not start a thread on Darren Jolley, gosh, what might have been if he had stayed.
  3. I think it is fantastic that former players such as the ox, neeta etc have the passion for the club and want the best for it. However passion is only part of the equation. At this moment in time we need people with experience and who have had success-whether it be in the coaching department, or administration. I was at the 'G' many years ago when the ox took a fantastic mark, did a pirouette out of the pack and kicked a great goal. His talent was undeniable, such a pity his career was cut short by horrific knee injuries. For all those who will think I am 'getting stuck into him' I AM NOT, my point is ex players (and I am not singling out the ox, he is just an example) whether they are from the dees or another club also have to have some management skills, people skills etc to be successful and to guide the players.
  4. Thanks Genevieve, Glad somone agrees! I suppose my point is that it is we all want things to change at the MFC. Whether we post regularly on this site, it does not really matter, what really matters is what happens to the club and sometimes the only way is for supporters en masse to take some kind of action. If the faceless people at the top of the club refuse to move on because of their egos, because they are deluded, whatever, then someone must do something to make it quite clear that their seemingly inaction or their direction is not on. What is the problem I wonder with the supporters showing their displeasure to the hierarchy en masse? How else can we do it, not methinks via this website, I doubt whether anyone there reads this! I agree about supporting the players, I believe it is wrong to boo them, or to single out individuals such as J Watts. That achieves nothing.
  5. studies, no I do not have any idea who the hell 'rangy' is. Are you one of these types who enjoys making little snide remarks hoping for a reaction. AGAIN, my original post was to try to get something going and if that means 35000 supporters at a game with banners, placards protesting instead off a petition etc. FINE, no skin off my nose. Just because you have made 3872 posts does not make you a better or more avid supporter and able to make silly little comments. Let's try to be constructive and do something positive instead of the other.
  6. Let's be realistic, 35,000 supporters plus friends on Sunday is not going to happen, nor is it going to give them a 'scarce' whatever that means. Stuie, everyone says it starts from the top, the CEO and president, the board, they seem like faceless men, how about the supporters demand them to be more specific about what they want to do with the club in the short and medium term, if they cannot come up with adequate answers then they have to go. Please don't make comments such as ' and you fill it in later', that is a pointless comment and takes us nowhere.
  7. Hello all, I have been a demonland supporter for some time and a MFC supporter for 50 plus years. Like everyone, I am extremely upset about the current situation. I recently read a post in one of the threads about MFC supporters turning up at training and showing their support, a nice idea, however if WE really find the current situation completely unacceptable as I do WE HAVE TO DO MORE. A mass rally at the MFC headquarters showing them that we demand change from the top is a possibility, I realise that such a thing would take some organization but if we want change WE MUST BE WILLING TO PUT OUR MONEY WHERE OUR MOUTHS ARE. Other than that how about an e- petition. If we can get some or many thousands of signatures demanding change that could put enough pressure on the club to instigate change. SOMETIMES CHANGE CAN ONLY BE BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE MASSES.
  8. Play one on one, man to man, kick long, have forwards who are willing to put their bodies on the line, take a strong mark, kick a long goal, it was called football. Remember when sides would do that? All this c--p about zones, presses, forget it
