I don't think there's a poster who understands the game less than you, but you've always gone on feelings. If you don't have your culture war talking points you've got nothing.

My feelings on this are that you are harbouring some lingering grudge based on some ideological viewpoint that I have long forgotten.

I don't really recall much of your thoughts or feelings about anything but I will acknowledge your petty resentment and hope you grow from it.

Glad you enjoy my superior analysis of the game.

Our ball movement was elite - so kicking. Our defensive structures were elite. The goalkicking was poor.

Clarry had the equal most disposals on the ground, most pressure acts on the ground, along with 4 clearances.

The two clearance leaders on the ground were Viney and Max, and we won stoppage.

We dominated rebound 50s, a key stat for us this year.

What on earth are you talking about?

    Football- not stats.

If I need autistic analytics I’ll look you up.

I saw the back six dominate their opponents.

    The mids turned it over.

    And the forwards wasted opportunities.

    May was elite.

    Tmac Elite

    Lever elite

I acknowledge the tackling was good throughout the game which kept us in it but if you were there it was a scrubber of a game.

    Go make a pie chart

    Mids were beaten?

We won CPs by 3 and clearances by 1. Their major ball winners were half backs (Holmes and Z Guthrie).

Our mids were quiet for the first half.CP 2 disposals.Clarry Blanketed and Gawn holding his own.Viney went ok. Kozzy ineffective.

May,Lever,McVee really stood up and saved mistakes made across half forward.

There's no game without umpires and they do good work in a very difficult and highly scrutinised job. It's poor to refer to them as "maggots".

They do average work and are well paid.Football is bread and circuses.Nobody puts a gun at their head. They should be better than they are. They often create the wrong result. They deserve and require constant scrutiny.

  5. Interestingly,

We invented not only the game of Australian rules but also the first father/son priority pick after RDB lost his father Ron Senior in WW2. I believe he was raised in Richmond's Zone (Guildford/Castlemaine).Zoning still plays a very small role in drafting .The other great ruck rover of the last 100 years also came from this area.Dusty.

There is much media discussion about drafting youth but as with free agency, the very good players generally get to play where they want to play and the clubs swap picks around those decisions as compensation to those less desirable destinations.

In short, I'll eat my hat if the White Boy ends up anywhere else but Melbourne.

  6. Laurie,Spargo,Billings,Hunter all seem to be playing for the same spot.

Spargo is the only one who knows where the goals are.

We cant carry the midgets unless they slot their chances( 1 or 2 per game).

Bowey is the exception because his disposal efficiency is brilliant ( although he should've retired after the flag with a clean sheet at 18).

Dropping Harry Petty won't happen and he'll come good.TMac turns 57 this year and can't go on forever.

Tomlinson racked up 38 for Casey but he struggles in the big time.

Woey Jnr will be a player.

We are going ok and getting some games into the juniors.

Cats have played nobody yet but beat Bris and Carl.

    I see no change.

My question is, once built, will it be competitive with other clubs facilities, would it attract players etc? Also where in the diagram are the club administrative facilities proposed?

The days of Tom Scully touring facilities are over. You play where you sign and you keep away from your team mates sisters and girlfriends.

  8. I like the Caulfield proposal.

Easy for staff and players to get from Toorak ,Brighton,Armidale, Malvern and St.Kilda.(Where they live)

    Against traffic in the AM.

It's a place with some soul and history-unlike Casey.

It really is our Zone (In the old days) .Robbie Flower from Murrumbeena.

    I think this will work.

MCG is not an option Picket-we built this city but it's now a public colloseum.

The filth can have Olympic park-its a dog track so it's fitting.

Yeah something like that, I joined Ology around the Neeld era

It was the worst of times. It was the worst of times.

    it was what it was.

Actually-The whole quote from Dickens sums it up far better.

It was the best if times. It was the worst of times. It was the age of wisdom(lack). It was the age of foolishness.it was the epoch of belief,it was the epoch of incredulity,it was the season of light,it was the season of darkness,it was the Spring of hope,it was the Winter of despair.

I never even saw Charles at the ground. He must have watched it on Tele.
