True.
Or you could take it as pedalling the usual cliched crap that doesn't mean anything, and not taking account of any surrounding circumstances.

The quality of these previews can be summed up by reading this one...
8. James Frawley
James has been a standout performer. He’s fit, strong and using the ball well. His leadership continues to improve every week. – Jade Rawlings -
I can't believe such a ridiculous OP has garnered 40 replies, and I further can't believe I'm adding another.

Actually, folks, it is quite hard to get kicked out of the cricket. There were 70 something ejections in a crowd of 70,000.
There is nothing wrong with having a holiday, but cr@p - what a bunch of complete, total, morons.
And to everyone saying there were Geelong and Richmond players involved, come on! Seriously?
-
Oooo nice bump. Can't believe this was even seriously proposed as a poll.
I miss NoMoreMrRangeRover...

So Jude Bolton after a mammoth season runs a better 3k time trial than last year.
Yes he is simply wonderful as a team man, a leader, and a player.
I wonder if players like Col Sylvia or the like ever look at players like Jude and think to emulate.
Apart from Jones we rarely seem to hear much about our senior players bettering their pre season year on year.
Why are we all so focussed on Sylvia? It is so boring continually potting the guy.
I haven't seen any preseason sessions, but it seems like there are at least 10-15 players who are absolutely smashing themselves. Why can't we focus on McDonald, Nicholson, Howe, Viney, Blease and the others who people continually indicate are working their backsides off?
-
Surprise surprise. The club awards more votes to the players that do their jobs. Fancy that. That should make Sylvia very nervous given he has NEVER finished inside the top 5 in a B&F in 8 years.....Trapper was similar 2 top 10 results in 10 years!! A first and third. The Blight story about looking at players who consistently perform poorly when team's get beaten is still the best gauge I reckon...
You usually contribute really good stuff, but is there any chance you could respond without twisting the thread to talk about Colin Sylvia? Did the same thing with Morton every second time you posted...

It seems realistic to expect that Viney, and our bigger bodied recruits, could have a fairly instant impact.
After all, we clearly drafted them for that, where a lot of other clubs will be comfortable for their picks to make little or no impact next year.
I think the article is pretty spot on, actually, although I still think we are all expecting too much from Viney.

FB: Nicho Frawley Garland
HB: Watts McDonald Grimes
C: Toumpas Jones Blease
HF: Howe Clark Sylvia
FF: Byrnes Dawes Pederson
R: Jamar Trengove Viney
I/C: Dunn Rodan McKenzie
Sub Tapscott
What would I know.
I would be happy if I got the basic pass mark of 50%
This is the closest I've seen... I can't think of anybody else to include.

It was pick 39 and there wasn't much talent after that pick:
68. St Kilda - Beau Wilkes (West Coast Eagles)
Could have taken Wilkes, and not had him kick all of his career goals against us this year...

This is my take on it. I couldn't care less about him.
Snap.

What a foolish and ignorant comment......
From a football perspective, it is absolutely spot on.

Changing your name doesn't mean it isn't boring when you post the same threads under the new one.

I opened this thread actually ready to type: 'IT'S CLARK'.
Clearly, no need.

I've got my money on Daniher going No. 10 to Essendon
Does seem to be a popular choice, doesn't it!

i agree on legal process don't worry. But i am [censored] off that the Crows get a free kick into next year.
But that they have.
I wouldn't worry too much WYL.They are stuffed, even worse than us, and it is just a matter of when.
I think it's not too big a leap to say that if the TV rights deal didn't require 9 games, they'd be in line to be punished so severly that they'd go under.
-
Brilliant. For me it's all summed up in the words "the AFL doesn't own the game. They are servants of the game."
Except that they sort of do!

Why does seemingly everybody have us taking defenders?
Even with Bartram gone, I would have thought our number 1 priority was midfield depth.
Then again, what would I know!
-
Green, Moloney, Jurrah, Rivers, Gysberts, Morton, Martin, Bennell, Petterd, Cook, Bate, Bartram
That is a hell of a lot of turn over.
To be fair, with one or two dazzling exceptions, that is also a hell of a lot of spud.

JW needs more mongrel, his skills wont get him far until he gets it
Now you have confused me. I'm reading your post as 'he's skills wont get him far' and it doesn't make any sense!
See now why spelling be important?

Watts now plays on half-back. A position that we have how many players pushing to make the team? Strauss, Dunn, Mcdonald, Macdonald, Garland, Gillies, Davis, Seller....
The guy will be lucky if he is not dropped to Casey in 2013 with so many players competing for those positions.
Zero credibility.
Not one of those players will come within a bull's roar of doing the job they want Watts to do.

2013
Watts, Sylvia (UFA), Davey (RFA), Gysberts, Morton, Grimes, Taggert, Gawn, Martin, Tynan, Fitzpatrick, Nicholson, Evans, Rodan, Gillies
2012
OOC (in number order)
Bartram, Bennell, Petterd, Cook, Jurrah, MacDonald, Jetta, Davis, Sellar
Rookies (upgrade or delist)
Lawrence ®
Rookies (1 year option)
Couch, Magner, Sheahan, Williams
RFA
Moloney
UFA
Green, Rivers, Bate, and Dunn.
This is really interesting - assuming Davis goes, and Dunn, Sellar and MacDonald got 1 year, you'd have to think all 3 are on the block next year.
Who else goes, apart from Davey? I can't see us wanting to get rid of any of the others, unless Rodan is a complete bust.
On current numbers, you'd also have to think one of Jetta and Barty are in trouble this year.
Oh well, maybe we won't have any draft picks anyway, so it won't matter...

Isn't Finklestein quite steeped in defamation law?
Just putting it out there - had a feeling he heard quite a few media and defamation cases on the Fed Ct bench, but I could be wrong.
