  1. Quick question. If we get Pick 5 in the draft along with our two Scully picks which Pick do we have to use on Viney. This assume's that another club nominate's to use their first round Pick on him. My hope is that we can use the worst of the 3 picks
  2. So happy that Dawes has re-signed, it means we won't be paying the most over rated player in the comp a fortune to kick 40 goals a year..... Who do we target? Well stuffed if I know, most of the half decent big bodied forwards are locked away
  3. Please no, not this over rated fat man.... I watch a lot of pies games as my GF is a pies fan, all i can say is he is the new Hansen (thinks the eagle not the 90's boy band)... People think he can play cause he plays some half decent games in the best side in the comp against average teams... He has never stood up and won a game off his own boot against a top 4 team, in fact he has never even got the better of his direct opponent against a Top 4 team. If he can't do that in a team that pumps the ball inside 50 more times then any other how will he be any good for us.
  4. I love this idea, he is a big body who can play a trun with role but also find the footy himself. And as mentioned he is a Selwood so that means head over the footy lead from the front
  5. Watts will be a star, clean hands, good over head, good when the ball is on the deck, runs all day and has great speed over the first 20. Personally - see him as a chris grant type, able to play in a variaty of roles because of his superior decision making.. If only he had some strong bodied team mates who could give him a chop out, if only brad miller didn't turn out to be such a dud
  6. 1. Sack DB 2. Who ever the intrim coach is tell them that unless they beat both Carlton and the Eagles they have no chance of getting the gig next year, wins against the suns and tigers don't count. 3. Gives Scully 2 weeks to make up his mind, if he tells us he is going then he plays for the Casey 2's for the rest of the year and plays 100% game time on the ball, run him into the ground if he is not our asset. 4. Make sure the following players play against the Blues and Eagles, Sylvia, Maric, Bennall, Strauss, Nicholson, Bleese.... If tghey play 4 solid quarters against these teams then they deserve another conract next year, if not then trade or delist them 5. Make contact with Clarco. Mick won't coach next year and Roos has said he isn't interested. Clarko has some strong ties to people at melbourne so make him an offer he can't refuse. 6. Start to speak to Simon Black. It is clear we are very thin at the top end of our list. Black is still playing solid footy and would be a walk up start to our team, he wants another year which the lions won't give him so let's bring him in for our young players to learn from a pro.
  7. I have been a long time viewer of Demonland Forum's however untill now have never felt a need to sign up and put something out there. Unfortunitly after saturdays disgraceful performance I feel the need to get some things off my chest to some fellow demon members. If you look at the clubs who have dominated the comp in recent years they have had strong uncomprimising people in all of their key roles. The pies have Eddie, Mick and Nick Maxwell (I dont rate him as a player but he bleeds for his jumper), the cats had Costa, Thompson and Harly, the hawks have Kennett, Clarko and Hodge/Mitchell. These blokes are all hard tough straight talkers. Jimmy aside, all our key roles are occupied by people who are unable to push the cause when the chips are done. Let's take the Tom Scully situation, I love the kid but he should have been given a deadline to decide what he wants to do, we are not geelong, and we are not able to get to a prelim final with this amount of media on one of our key players. When Robinson stated we played bruise free footy the reaction from our footy department leaders was weak and poor. If that was said about the Pies Mick and Nick Maxwell would have been on the front foot making sure Robinson new he was going to be in the gun next time around. If our leadership group was more worried about putting their head over the footy instead of just lifting stacks of weights and looking tough (Col Sylvia that's u) then maybe Jordie Mac, Jack Trengrove, Jack Watts and the other younsters wouldnt have to keep getting their heads bashed in trying to get the footy. The one thing Baily got right this weekend was when he said we took some massive steps backwards, saturday's performance has put us back 10 years... Chers from a very disgruntled, shocked and Unhappy demon supporter who is sick off sh$t House performances like saturday from the footy club he loves
