I've noticed a few comments about people being sick of selling games and questioning why we play in the NT. If every person who says they support Melbourne actually did support them by putting their hand in their pocket to buy a membership we'd have a healthy bank balance which would eliminate the need to sell games interstate and we'd have a very strong voice within the AFL.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't we found not guilty of 'tanking' by the AFL?

I have no hesitation in renewing my membership - for the 30th consecutive year. If the club has no members there will be no club. I'll also be renewing other family members' memberships.

Congratulations to Jack on his Rising Star nomination and to Todd and Megan. A future captain. What a pity some of his teammates haven't embraced his passion. We'd be in a different place right now. After Sunday's game my nephew felt ashamed to have the number 4 on the back of his guernsey and said he was going to change it to 7 for 2014. He's also going to play his junior footy wearing the number 7 in honour of Jack.

I've been a Watts believer but after watching his performance - or lack thereof today - I reckon he's already got his bag packed. My 9-year-old nephew said he felt ashamed to have number 4 on his back yesterday. Very sad.

Just had a look at the website. It's been put together by spin doctors, just like the ones politicians use. You can't voice an opinion; all you can do is agree with them. No thanks.

At the game on Saturday night watching Colin Garland and I thought: "He's gonna win the 'Bluey' this year."

I find it interesting that so many contributors are complaining about how the Club has been portrayed in the mainstream media by way of false reporting such as how the Club was fined for tanking. The MSM will never allow the facts to get in the way of a good story. Unfortunately that doesn't just apply to football coverage. It extends to political coverage as well. Repeat a lie often enough and the majority will think it's the truth. I also think that a large section of the football media believe they are the story.

I was impressed by Craig asking a journalist what his name was. When the journo replied that his name wasn't important, Craig responded that it was important to him. I thought it showed respect, something that's lacking these days, and not just around the football club.

Does any Melbourne member know who the Melbourne members are that want Jeff Kennett as President? Why don't they show their faces? The members as a group, 'own' the MFC. Not a select group of faceless individuals. And as far as Jeff Kennett being 'sincere', the only thing sincere about him is his sincere desire to be on the front pages again.
