  1. They didn't outright block it off, but for the Brisbane game there was virtually no staff on Lv4 in GSS
  2. Beating the Cats in Geelong in '05 Beating Carlton at the last game at Princes Park (I was there, it was a sweet, sweet feeling to rub it in) The Sydney game last year
  3. stuff that. going to be impossible to get a seat.
  4. Forgot about that...getting Jordie to sit on Cyril might work.
  5. Imagine Tommy coaching again...
  6. Just saw them post it on Facebook, great news. Let's get a super-extended preseason into him!
  7. Beamer will hopefully make the 40. Frawley will make it on current form, partly lucky cos of Jameison and Shaw. Smokie might actually be Stef Martin - although he seems to be unacknowledged outside of the MFC. Probably not if he goes in as a ruck though - Cox has it stitched up, and Goldstein would have to be close to having it as 2nd choice.
  8. Carlton game. Serious possibility of no Judd, Robinson will get knocked out within 5mins, Armfield too.
  9. I was (and still am, although less now) slightly worried about Rd23 more than the Rd4 game.
  10. I only did the ones who are out of contract or free agents. Choco and Bomber Thompson are in contract, and while technically available I wouldn't consider them as the payout would almost certainly be ridiculous on both contracts. I rate him too, just think he's almost definitely going to be GWS coach - if not next year, then 2013.
  11. For the people looking for that genuine success (ie a flag) there is... Malthouse - who knows what will happen with the Collingwood stuff? Roos - doesn't want to move to Melbourne Clarkson - probably will get a new deal Matthews - Loving his media work Blight - Compromised by GWS Pagan - Carlton showed him as out of the game Woosha - will get a new deal Not much there. Makes me think more and more it'll either be Sanderson, Neeld or Bailey. (Could be Watters too, don't know how long he has been assistant at Collingwood though)
  12. Was Hitchcock his actual onfield opponent though? Didn't really keep up with the matchups admittedly, but every time Strauss was near it that I noticed we seemed to do well. Also, oh god did we miss Bull punting it 55 from a kick out.
  13. Yeah, harsh it may be, but he was down on recent form tonight. It may have been a one-off, yeah, and next week will be telling of that. Also, I try to have at least 3 in every section so I don't just lump bad and ugly together - means I generally try to make a funny while I'm at it.
  14. Can I just say with Morton (to try and be fair and balanced, as many of you know I genuinely think he's rubbish but I will try and keep it sensible) - Initially he was quite good. Laid a bump at one point and generally tried to get muscly in the contests. - However, whether it was the conditions or just him I'm not sure, he really did start to squib it. It got to a point where he got into a contest, squibbed the handball that he got that resulted, didn't offer an option initially, managed to turn into a runner then squibbed it when he received it - this was in the final quarter. It's hard - I've judged Watts harshly too tonight, but with Morton I just wonder whether he will make it with those basic sorts of errors.
  15. Sensational. Seriously.
  16. Yeah I reckon you're right. Running around in the heat with a mop like that sucks...from experience too.
  17. Scully - Millions? REALLY GWS? Also just want to make a special one... Cassisi - a true professional
  18. Hey...I try to be fair!
  19. Just want to put a shout-out in there for Strauss - was very solid all night. Didn't get the noticeable matchup of Frawley and his shutdown work, but went about his business very strongly.
  20. Just unlucky to an extent, but also lots of poor first efforts, average disposal and his 2 shots at goal were pretty poor. Poor after recent form. His second efforts (especially that steal!) were quite good, but often forced because he'd stuffed up his initial go at it.
  21. Two years isn't arbitrary at all. Drafted players are given a mandatory 2year contract as a minimum. The goal was to protect these players - who have only played two seasons as they should have since being drafted.
  22. Yeah, last minutes of the 3rd quarter. Schultz put his knee into his back as he flew for a mark. Was struggling through the break, wasn't happy to be subbed but DB came down and gave it to him personally.
  23. 6. Martin 5. Sylvia 4. Frawley 3. Petterd 2. Maric 1. Strauss
  24. The Good Martin Our forward line Sylvia Maric Petterd LJ Performing in crappy conditions Frawley Dom Cassisi playing brilliantly despite almost certainly being distracted The Bad Watts - just not his night Scully until 3rd QT The deja vu moment when it hit 14pts in the final quarter Fading in and out of the game The Ugly Morton Jones' mo - Jesus man, didn't you learn from Dunn? Making the same mistakes and realising a better side would have demolished us
  25. Going the Nick Maxwell option and going to tip Frawley.... But seriously, Col Sylvia.
