  1. I agree with your assessment bb. Sunday was the first time that we've seen his tactical nous shine through, and the fact that he out coached a veteran in Woosha in the second half bodes well for the future. I do think Vince should have been in the middle from the start of the season, but can understand that he felt restricted in that part of the ground with Hibberd injured and then Lewis suspended. Hope Vince stays in the guts for the rest of the season.
  2. I wonder if Richmond were crushing on him in his draft year? He played 2 VFL games for them in 2015. If we snatched him away from them too, even better. Oliver is well on the way to being a superstar.
  3. DE of 69% yesterday, which is a slight improvement. DE can be a misleading stat though and I wouldn't rely on fantasy points to tell you who had a good game and who didn't. Dom still struggles with his kicking. The good news is that he has no issues finding the ball and has great hands in traffic. As well as that, he's 23 so has a bit of time to turn it around.
  4. My favourite win in recent memory. The recorded version has definitely received a work out. Time to make it 2 in a row against the Hawks.
  5. Watts vs Natanui is a case in point. This debate was all over years ago, according to a media with a collective IQ of 20 and supporters who refused to look past Natanui's highlights reel. This comparison is far from over. Natunui is a great ruckman when he is fit and firing, but a bit inconsistent. Watts has become a very reliable forward who can pinch hit in the ruck and his disposal, decision making and awareness are elite. Watts wins at this point, though you'll be hard pressed to get anyone outside the MFC and its supporters to agree. Time will tell with Petracca and McCartin but at the moment Petracca is obviously miles ahead. Love the kid.
  6. I definitely think so, mainly because Watts is so versatile. Pedo is the perfect man to have in the team while Weideman continues to develop.
  7. He's no superstar and he knows it, but I absolutely love his endeavour. Works so hard and knows his role. I also think he uses his body better than almost any player on our list. Makes sure the opposition players feel every single hit.
  8. Gave exactly what was expected from him today. I love the effort he gives and the way he uses his body to make sure the opposition players feel every hit. Should play out the season if he remains in this kind of form. Will Stuie make a return to campaign against Pedo?
  9. I was confident we'd turn it around in the second half and we did - props to the players. This is where we have improved immensely. The last couple of years we would have folded after half time, but we are getting better. It just takes time.
  10. We're capable of so much more and we'll lift, hopefully today.
  11. We won't finish bottom four. But if we don't win the next two, we can kiss any remote chance of finals football goodbye.
  12. If you can get an athletic forward at that height, you snap them up. The problem is that they don't come along too often.
  13. Casey have been watching the seniors too closely. Those late goals kill momentum.
  14. Tom McDonald to go forward and Oscar to come in and fill that void down back, along with Pedo who'll effectively be our number 1 ruck. He can rotate with Watts and potentially Frost when he needs a break, and that way we're still covered down back and up forward. I think Frost will be a better match up for Daniher than T McDonald anyway, and he's effectively their only tall target.
  15. Terrible news for Jesse and his family. I'm sure the club are doing all they can to help them. Can't imagine how hard this must be for them.
  16. I think we're overrated at times, and call me crazy... but we're a reasonable chance at being 5-1 out of those 6 games.
  17. Don't mind Smith as an in actually, even with the rain. Plays tall and small so hopefully he will still be effective in the conditions.
  18. 'Nathan Jones in scintillating form with 37 disposals, 12 tackles and 2 goals after going head to head with Trent Cotchin, who had 5 touches and 0 tackles'.
  19. I have a secret spot, short walk to the G and always get a park there. But if I share, the secret will be spoiled!
  20. 'Never to be seen again' is a bit harsh. I'd just rather he was a late withdrawal. It always seems that when a player goes into a game (against us) under an injury cloud, they tear us apart.
  21. Farkkk. Tough lad, and a lot of people on here were getting stuck into him!
  22. Kent needs to stay in the side. He has leg speed that we desperately need, especially against the smaller, quick players that the Tiges are fielding at the moment. His X factor around the forward line is important too, and he's done more than enough to warrant a spot in the side.
