I don't think we are going to get a 'champion' through the trade this year, there just isn't much on offer. Saving pick 2 for the draft is probably ideal but then again it'll probably be about two years before that player can have any kind of impact. After our last few years, we need quick improvement and the best way to go about that is to trade for two 'solid', good quality midfielders. While a champion would be fantastic we need more than just one other player so trading for two midfielders that will come straight into the line up and be our first and third best (around Chunk) midfielders will fill the void better. Say we trade for two of those types, pick up Cross as well and then draft some likely kids, I think we'll look a hell of a lot better next year. Note... Possible players involved could be Ricky Henderson, Bernie Vince or Richard Douglas, all good players. As well as that, Adelaide will definitely be looking to get into the draft and have some young talent in the middle.

Forget Seedsman, go after Jamie Elliot I'd say. Can't see them parting with 10 and 11 though.

I'm a big fan of his size and he seems to have a bit of goal kicking nous. I'm hoping Roosy can turn him into a solid contributor in the middle, where we could really use his bulk.

They'd probably just laugh in our face. If they get Mumford, I don't think they'll be wanting a struggling ruck man as well. If they don't get Mumford, they still won't want a poor quality ruck man. We have much more of a chance with just pick 2.

All those teams already had the luxury of big bodied midfielders when they drafted those slimmer blokes. We should have picked up bulk first and then focused on more outside runners or skinnier 'project' types.
