Which would explain you not knowing what a PVR is ...
-
Isn't a PVR a Perverse Vagrant from Romsey?
-
Hope they come up with a good offer, Redleg. The temptation to give them (word that rhymes with thuggery) would be very high ...
-
Thanks for the tip. Any particular time when you put it on? Or just leave it on all the time?
-
Sounds good. I think the birds got a lot of ours this year ---- must get a fake owl or put up some old CDs or something. The dog tries to chase them. but I think they have him sussed out ...
-
Amen to that, OD. For mine, a fresh white peach just shades it, but the tang of a fresh apricot is one of life's delights.Do you make jam from yours?
-
Rationality of that sort never seems to stop Demonlanders (with the exception of this thread, generally )
-
Sounds like it is the Powerless Republic of Mornington Peninsula and Boganville today ... Blackout at Frankston Shopping Centre Perhaps the North and West are needlessly worried?
-
The slide started once Sir John Monash (of WWI fame) stopped running it ... Once great, now struggling to do its job --- sounds a bit like a certain football club ...

Agreed, DC. The thing that swings it for me in favour of public ownership is that then the water or electricity (or whatever) provider has an incentive to decrease demand, rather than increase it, whereas private such providers tend to want to increase everything. If nothing else, the drought of a few years ago should have taught us that we can't take supply of these things for granted ... Other than that, it comes down to whoever has the best bananas ...

Have a great trip, DF. Come back safe and refreshed!
-
Which one will be his avatar?
-
Better than last year, but that isn't saying much. By about round 6 we should have a much better idea of our chances.
-
Came across this recently ... I presume no comment needed ...
-
Or at the Gat, for that matter ... :-)
-
Have a great trip, then, although that probably goes without saying! Looking forward to the stuffed toys album ... May the black plague stay away! As for the game, the trick is to pick one that we are likely to win -- pretty tough Personally, I like afternoon games rather than night ones, but I'd take a win any time.

Speaking of back to normal, I see you are now the Demon Frog, ex-TBF. Does Madagascar turn big frogs into demon frogs? Must be some powerful magic there ... :-)
-
Nice article in The Age about Roos and the Dees, though ...
-
LIke, OD!
-
Nice pun there, TBF, as is your bent ... :-)
-
Let's see .. A big punter's club with links to Bermuda has either a lot of monkeys on the payroll, or a rather large demand for catering. Either way, they have a large standing order for bananas (say 5,000 a week). When the collapse happens, so does the demand for bananas, leaving an oversupply of cheap bananas for this thread to consume. Simples!

Forever and ever, Amen!
-
May that ever be the case. As for making them Dees fans, it is tough when the 2013 highlights are the last quarter of the home game against GWS, Howie's hangers and the first MFC women's match ....
-
Surely one is increasingly tolerant of grandchildren? But I think you are right, as usual, OD.
-
LIke! Although I think the proportion of grumpy old geezers is a lot higher amongst Demons fans than the general population ...
