Pretty sure we haven't heard that before..

I love the club, but I find a lot of Matt's articles and interviews just fluff.
He's not working for the Washington Post - his job is to provide fluff for the website.

last thing i need is a night at the gat.
No visit to Melbourne is complete without a night at the Gat jazza.. it's a 'cultural' thing
You really should try to book a room, even if it's just for the hour.

Some interesting detail in there, but the argument is class-riddled nonsense.

Are we really going to let the premier-who-fell-on-his-sword-for-a-$3000-bottle-of-wine story just pass without comment?
The haste with which he resigned suggests to me there's more to this story than meets the eye. Otherwise why wouldn't he dig in and ride it out?
Pollies have hung on to their jobs for transgressions far worse than this one.
I would have thought a simple "i accept I was wrong but still can't recall this particular gift, receive so many every day blah blah" would have been sufficient..

Good to see him back as a supporter.
Why are people making out like he's just rediscovered the MFC?
Garry's a regular at Melbourne games, unless he's working in the commentary box.

I've set my expectations to WPO - Worst Possible Outcome: Hogan will remain 4-5 until about mid-season, when the club will announce that he won't play at all this year and are now aiming to have him ready for the start of pre-seaosn 2015.

For the first time in a long time, we're starting to control the tempo of the game. Did it virtually all match last week and for the second half today.
Still lack the polish, the confidence and some players (injuries and list improvements) to capitalise on it, but it's 150 per cent better than the footy we served up last year.

Howe could do with a run in the Ressies.
Howe could do with a lesson or two in the very basics of the game, such as putting your hands up when you're on the mark or in a position to smother.
Watched Nick Reiwoldt last night; every time he was on the mark he was jumping up and down and waving his arms around like a madman, something he was no doubt taught in the Under 10's, like everyone else who plays football.
I hate seeing players not do the little things.

I almost flipped my spoons when after Jonesy kicked that stirring snap goal out of a contest and was all up and about. 'ROTATION' saw N.Jones, Viney and Vince all come to the bench.
In that very next center bounce we ended up with Spencer, Jordie Mac, Pederson and Cross....
I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!!!! How the fk were we going to WIN a clearance.
Game over....
I'm glad someone else noticed this... I was tearing my hair out @#$$%^&*^%$%#%$##$%@

Just to preserve it for eternity, when it comes to coaching, you think:
being comfortable with your looks is quite important

We've won one game. Lost to the two teams considered to be as low as us, and been smashed by a decent team by 93 points.
Can't help but think we're getting too ahead of ourselves with the amount of memes etc kicking around. Gives me a foreboding feeling...
What, that we might lose again?
Geez, how about enjoying the win?!

Did he get banned?
Or just left of his own accord?
I was there in the thread when he threw an obvious round-arm strike to the head of an opponent in the days leading up to Round 1.
I knew it was only a matter of time before the MRP would review the incident and give him a spell on the sidelines.

Did anyone else notice JKH after he kicked that great goal he seemed really dirty on himself for some reason not sure why
He should have hand passed to Dawes who was in a better position and he copped a serve. Good learning experience

Dale Thomas $750,000
Daniel Cross about $4.95
Good humour: priceless
Love your work DA

Loved this quote from the Herald Sun match report:
Jack Viney has been solid so far in his career, but effectively announced himself as a star in the making with a tireless performance yesterday. He shone when the heat was at its most intense yesterday.
Couldn't agree more. As a poster said elsewhere, he's probably our only mid who can genuinely emerge from a pack through sheer brute force and then dispose of the ball cleanly. That's not a knock on Jones, or Tyson, who was down a bit day, but they tend to get caught when they try to force their way through a pack.
Jack's second and third quarters were sensational today.

Would it be so funny if we replaced Ratten with Neeld and Malthouse with Roos?
No, but it'll be funnier this week when it's re-shopped to make it Owen Four
bwahahahaha

Will be interesting to see how Clisby goes for Casey tomorrow; a good game and he may well replace Terlich.
Hard to see many other changes to a winning team.

Straight out of the captain's mouth:

Also super impressed with Dunn
11 marks and 6 i50.. worked really hard all day, as did Frawley and Dawes

I actually thought our skills were a lot better today. Still plenty of clangers, but fewer handballs to players under pressure and fewer wayward kicks.
Having said that, can't believe how crap Carlton were.. they made us look like a polished outfit.

Don't know whether today was a line in the sand game...
BUT
...feels good to throw sand in Carlton's face !!
you blooooody beauty !

I've hated novelty jumpers ever since Robbie broke his finger on those bloody lace-up guernseys back in the 80's.
