Thanks Chook. Who the hell else would be making a decision on who plays each week? Always found this to be a bit weird. It's a football club - isn't every dept a "football dept." unless expressed otherwise?

Ok, what is "FD"?

Why can't we have a predominantly blue alternative guernsey/shorts/socks and a predominantly red alternative guernsey/shorts/socks, depending on the opposition. I don't have the time to whip one up on the computer now, but maybe the same as we have now, but just a red outline of the "V" on out jumper on a blue jumper, and vice-versa on a red jumper. The teams we currently have a clash with when playing away are who? Adelaide (we wear red), Brisbane (blue), Carlton (red), Essendon (red), Fremantle (red), Sydney (blue), West Coast (red), Bulldogs (red). What the AFL needs to do is grow some balls and say that all teams have the right to wear there traditional/current home uniform in home games, and opposition sides must have however many alternative uniforms approved so that they have a uniform to wear against every side that doesn't clash.

Alright, who did I forget?

None of this "will be good to get some games into him", or "he needs the game time and he'll come good with the experience". I think the problem is putting in a consistent four quarters of top notch footy. Which particular quarter it happens to be isn't the problem. Off the top of my head there has been the Brisbane game (Round 5, I think) and the Sydney game at the 'G the other week when we really put in a solid four quarters (or at least had a nil-nil draw once the game was over).

IN - Trengove and Maloney OUT - Bail and Bennel Like a lot of posters, it's probably harsh on Bail and Bennel. Bennel wasn't great against the Lions but has been really good the previous few weeks, and Bail was one of our better players at the Gabba and has done well since coming back from injury. Having said all of that, if Maloney is fit he should be a definite in the 22, along with Trengove. I think we need to keep Johnson in the team as his combination with Jamar has really been working. The luckiest to stay in the team is probably Jurrah, but I think he at the very least occupies the attentions of a decent defender each week, and probably a few others in the opposition defence as well. Not sure how Bate went for Casey, but he might feel a bit hard done by, but we're winning and playing well, so possession is nine tenths of the law. If I was going on form and fitness alone, then it would probably be Junior and Bennel out. But I don't think Junior will get dropped (not this season at least), so those are the changes. It's a tough decision to make, but it's great that we've got these decisions to make and aren't thinking "how the hell do we put a competitive 22 out there this week".

Col can really be a star for us. In his first 99 games he's probably had 10-15 absolute rippers. The problem has been his failure to produce that form more often, and injuries. He seems to be putting that right a little this year. Col is one of those players that has that little bit of something extra that most players and teams would kill for. He's built as solidly as you would like, has power, speed, great mark (not just for his side, great mark full stop), good long kicking skills, and is tough and can win his own ball. Hope he tears Richmond apart, a little like he did earlier in the year if I remember correctly.

Is this one of those times when people who have never experienced something are going to give their opinion on why it does or doesn't work?

Junior to come back into the side and have 9 tackles. Demons to win a close one by 9 points. Binell to be our leading goal-kicker with 4.
