  1. Petterd? Hmm. He still only has 35 games to his name - and he's still not 100% settled as a player yet. Much the same as Grimes actually. I think you need to be an exceptional leader to end up in the leadership group with such little AFL match experience. Grimes may be but I don't think Petterd is.

I'd not be surprised or disappointed to see Sylvia in though.

Yea no criticism of the twice injured and consequently game limited Petterd,he's a promising prospect and all , but where does this 'leadership' thing actually come from?

Has someone got the inside word?

  2. I think the leadership group is player driven and the skipper is decided by the FD with a reco from Leading Teams.

    Maybe Rivers in the mix.

Bailey certainly mentioned him as a possibility last year, after Grimey went down and Jareds form stepped up.

I love him myself, but just cant see the skipper being the last player onto the ground each week.

  3. Your forgetting 2 of teh greatest Dees supporters of all time.

Paul Kelly (The musician) and David Bridie, from My Friend The Chocalate Cake. Massive supporters.

    Ohh yeah...and John So.

Paul Kelly (the musician)actually supports The Adelaide Crows...his excuse is that he's an Adelaide boy,so fair enough I guess

OK so someone else has made that point, sorry I'm new to this....I dont see Kelli Underwood's name there, she is a journalist apprantly and definitely supports Gary Ablett jnr. I guess she's conflicted at present about which Team to put down

  4. .

So are you going to take your command of English and explain why the reasoning is shoddy, or are you just leaving it at a personal insult, a fine contribution to a thread.

My bit for what it's worth (bad grammar included) is that the forward line has not been settled since Rd 1, my memory isn't the best but the six positions have been occupied at one time or another by Newton, Hughes, Bate, Green, Bennell, Bail, Miller, Watts, Petterd, Wonna, Johnson, Sylvia, Davey, Jetta, Scully(last Saturday)........so Josh Mahoney has had to work with a variety of skills and ability........plus varying levels of experience in a particular position and it has been different nearly every week.......can a poster say they could do a better job.

Everyone except Dunn it would appear, which is strange.

It took about 5 years to get Green back Forward on a more regular basis, but it seems to work;perhaps the coaching staff should ask for advice from outside occasionally
