I’m pretty sure everyone here loves having Petracca on board but if you want to air your doubts in public be prepared for some backlash. Football is an emotional business and he still hasn’t come out and said he intends to stay. I think it’s understandable for people on a discussion forum to vent their frustrations.
Compared to what I hear at the football I’d say we’re mostly a well behaved lot.

    Agreed.

However, what has increasingly  irked me on Demonland is how one poster's assertion or claim magically transmogrifies into "fact" and thus the pile on commences.

    Me too.

I had him as a leader of the football club, perhaps the next captain, and said as much before this story broke.

But he's shown he shouldn't be the captain with this.

It is unfair to criticise a terrific player and clubman over this matter as there is still a question mark about Tracc's health.

He may simply feel too bloody crook and tired to enter the media fray.

We should withhold any judgements until the truth comes out.

Can’t see funding from the Government coming anytime soon for a home base. Was in Melbourne last month and felt like being back in Mumbai. Obviously no funds to even clean up rubbish from around the streets, sides of the freeway, or to remove weeds or cut overgrown grasses.

    Bloody whinging Westralian !

Absolutely.  A lot more kid and family friendly.

    Saturday night games are trash.

I know the arguments about tv audiences and sponsorship etc but …. I hate all night games !

It’s a [censored] of a drive back to The Manor after dark

I've recently read 'Things Fall Apart' by Chinua Achebe. I bought it, convinced it would detail our 2024 season. Alas, it was about African colonization; not a single reference to forward structure, 'play Jeffo now' or 'Goody must go'. Pointless.

One of the great ( if not well known) novels of all time.

  6. I have supported the Dees since I was a kid and  a Trident member for the past 18 years. I have attended games in Darwin, Alice, Canberra and Sydney.

Whether I attend a particular game or not is dependent on a myriad of personal reasons

I imagine our 60k plus members and however many supporters also do so for their own reasons.

The generalised put down of those who chose ( for their own reasons) not to attend the game is arrogant and sanctimonious piffle

Gus’s retirement knocked us for six and we never really recovered. ( his loss can’t be underestimated). Plus we were unable to cover for Clarrys slow start and Tracs and Gawns injuries .

We will need another preseason to take stock and reset for next year.

Wouldn’t have done any serious damage in finals this year anyway.

I disagree DZ   I hope we make finals (even if it's a short visit)

Image the experience of a taste for our younger brigade.
