  1. So, you want a media that is biased towards us? Sorry, but I think you’ll find that regardless of which club you follow, you’d be able to find bias against that club, if you looked hard enough; it’s called <club>SS, for example, MFCSS.

I can’t for the life me fathom how West Coast don’t finish last this year.

For starters, they play Hawthorn down in Tassie soon which would be a near certain win for the Hawks.

Maybe they’ll both be tanking so hard that that game will be a nil all draw.

He deserves some boos this fella.

Why? For having an opinion? He got it very wrong, but he’s entitled to his opinion.

I've been called a lot of things over my lifetime but none of it ever worried me, why give anyone the satisfaction of knowing they've got in your head.

People are too precious now; they wouldn't have survived in the time when I grew up.

Like me, you grew up in an era where social media etc didn’t exist and so bullying etc was pretty much limited to the schoolyard, workplace etc. Now, people often have to deal with it all of the time and short of isolating themselves completely, they don’t have any easy way of escaping it. Nothing about being too precious at all.

It's a clumsy attempt to spoil the mark. It's not a sling tackle or a bump, in which we are very clear to say we want those out of the game. This is a spoil. He's trying to do something legitimate in the game but has stuffed it up.

I sincerely hope you’re right, but due to the fact that his eyes were not on the ball and the outcome has not been ideal, the MRP are sure to give him a week (I doubt it would be more than that). It doesn’t help when the commentary team are suggesting he’ll do time, never mind that fact that consistency  in it’s findings and penalties has never been a strong point of the MRP.

play, eyes on the ball to start with, made a very legitimate attempt at spoiling and unluckily connected.

His eyes were not on the ball… he was looking at his opponent, with the ball coming from behind him… unfortunately, he failed to correctly anticipate where the ball would be, and connected with the player’s head. It should have been free kick worthy, but as the player was badly hurt and couldn’t continue, he’ll have to do time.

I would not be surprised in the least if Van Rooyen gets a one week holiday courtesy of the MRP, in which case BBB comes in and either Petty moves back (Turner out) and maybe Joel Smith comes into the forward line (is Tom McDonald injured? - I didn’t see him in the stats for the VFL game).

Alternatively, Petty stays forward, Turner out and Hibberd back in. No idea how Spargo gets back in.

One of my all time favourites, great voice and the first artist I ever saw in concert.

Festival Hall supporting John Mayall with Carson.

I was and am still a big Dingoes fan.

Yes, I saw him a few times with Carson County Boogie Band back in 1972 (Melb Uni, Sunbury, Much More Ballroom etc). Such a great performer and song writer.

I don’t know if Fritta kicked a goal or if it was a behind. I’m just happy that his brilliant streak of at least one goal in every game continues.

    LOL Dane Rampe… what a clown.🤡

I should have been posting the MCG anyway 🤣

No mention of this in the rules.

3.3 GOAL POSTS AND BEHIND POSTS
    3.3.1 Position
    (a) Two posts, to be called goal posts, shall be a minimum height of six metres and a maximum height of 15 metres and be placed at each end of the Playing Surface at a distance of 6.4 metres apart.
    (b) A further two posts, to be called behind posts, shall be a minimum height of three metres and a maximum height of 10 metres and be placed at a distance  of 6.4 metres on each side of the goal posts so that a straight line can be drawn on the ground to join each post.

    3.3.2 Padding
A Controlling Body must ensure that padding is attached around each goal and behind post as follows:
    (a) a minimum of 35 millimetres thick foam padding, covered in canvas or painted;
    (b) a minimum height of 2.5 metres from the bottom of each goal and behind post;
    (c) a suitable width to allow the padding to be fixed around each goal and behind post; and
    (d) the padding must be securely attached around each goal and behind post.

There doesn’t need to be any mention as the fact that the back of the goal post (with padding included) aligns with the back of the goal line, means that if any of the ball has not cleared the rear of the goal post (padding included), it is a point.

Are you sure about that? Doesn't look it to me

Edited, because I posted a photo from the wrong ground… I plead old timer’s disease. This is what I meant to post (MCG posts)…83D5D17E-4EFE-49B7-AF48-561AC5BAFCF1.jpeg.babbbdd7218496a6df9179c319e84775.jpeg

Set my IQ4 to record the replay of yesterday's match. Listed as starting at 2.55 am. Sat down this morning to watch (and enjoy) but no, the replay ran out midway through third quarter.

What is going on? It seems that Foxtel cannot control their times and allow the post match shows to go way past their alloted times so that by the time they get to our replay start time, they are still showing garbage.

So I look for another replay to record - guess what, there is no other time this week only multiple minis and replays of Mike Sheahan and silly footy panel shows. What a disgusting service by Foxtel.  I know I should add 30 minutes minimum to recording replays but why should I waste my memory just because they can't manage their shows.

Is there any other source to record the full replay?

Can’t you just go to the AFL section under the Sport tab and stream the replay from there? That’s what I’m doing as I type this.

The score reviewers have only one decision to make (unlike the umps for whom I feel pity despite my swearing at them). You'd think they'd know the rules that affect their one simple job. Apparently not. (I wouldn't expect the commentators to know much at all.)

Unlike many here, it would seem that they are at least aware that the back of the padding lines up with the back of the goal line. It was not a goal.

Note: "Goal Line", not "back of the padding".

According to the rules, it's a goal. This "back of the padding" thing is a furphy.

Note that the back of the padding lines up precisely with the back of the goal line… it was NOT a goal.
