That buffoon shouldāve been banned from Olympics commentary after his deplorable gaffe at the 2010 (or 2014 š¤) Winter Olympics. The Menās Halfpipe Snowboarding final and American Shaun White absolutely carved up all competition. Immediately afterwards, McGuire had two of our Aussies, one being Scotty James (our best in this event), neither of whom medalled and both of whom were gutted, live at the desk. He said letās show the footage of the final again. That was bad enough. Then he says to Scotty James, āwanna talk us through Shaunās incredible gold medal run?ā š³ I was watching it at the time and Scottyās face said what I and probs everyone in the entire world was thinking, ie. Are you [censored] serious??? Did you just ask a devastated losing Olympic hopeful to describe blow by blow the gold medal winnerās run????ā Absolutely inexcusable, and awkward af.
The good part: after the self-absorbed eejit asked the question Scotty simply said, āNo.ā Just like that. Legend. šš¼
Never mind that fact that our Olympic diving expert is Tubby Taylor!

These score reviews can be so annoying!! When itās for a possible āhit the postā, why donāt they go straight to the snicko thingy, rather than first trying to establish whether or not it touched, using vision that looks like it was taken from the other end of the ground and with pretty much just the one angle!!

As it would seem unlikely there will be many, if any, gettable ābig nameā key position forwards up for trade, is Adelaideās Riley Thilthorpe a player that could be lured away if targeted? Iāve liked what I have seen of him, even though I havenāt seen a lot. Ā A great forward target with a very good pair of hands.
BTW Is there any way to search within the topic youāre currently viewing (it could save me asking questions that have already been answered)? -

Firstly, Iām a paid up member living in Sydney who is financially bereft and therefore canāt afford the fare to Melbourne and necessary accommodation.
Secondly, as a result of six months worth of chemotherapy, I have rather severe peripheral neuropathy that has somewhat affected my mobility.
It would have been nice to see more punters there, as I believe thatās the kind of thing that can get us over the line in those close games, but like me, Iām sure there are many who have their valid reasons for not attending; particularly given the predicted weather conditions, the lack of parking, and, Iām led to believe, the interrupted train services.

Ā
Now THAT is my kind of music! He reminds me a little of the Melbourne based singer, Archer.
This following song however, is in a style far removed from Jonesās bonesās. I love the fragility of the vocals and the sound in general; a great band in my opinion.

First music from MC5 in 53 years..
There will be critiscm of the production no doubt, the vocals and drums are mixed quite high and the guitairs are a bit low (for an MC5 song anyway).
Personally though I love the track, it's a fresh sound and great to hear these guys with today's production standards.
Interested to hear what you guys think.
I like it, but it is a bit (well, a lot, really) over-produced and it does lack the frenetic raw energy (āpowerā belongs to Iggy), of the MC5 of old.

Huh? Roco has been running a good footy website with decent editorials as well as having his podcast reviewing and previewing every match of every round before it was even a thing for 8 or so Ā years now. I don't know anybody else that has given so much energy and time to watching and discussing the actual games and not just the news and off-field stuff. Why are you potting him? Ā
I wasnāt potting him⦠it was a, as it turns out, very poor attempt at a good humoured shot at the use of āRoCoā⦠not keeping up with the āsocialsā and X in particular, I hadnāt known that he went by that ScoMo-likeĀ nomenclature.

Iām usually the āeternal optimistā, but I cannot see any way out of the hole we have dug ourselves into. We had lost pretty much ALL momentum (not that we had a lot to begin with), even before the loss of Trac!
The only way we could have any hope, would be if Oliver and Viney magically found form and showed some real leadership. Max canāt do it on his own, and even after Lever returns, itās going to be a big ask.Ā I fear that our chances of making the eight, have vanished with the loss of Trac. Ā I consider Hawthorn a better chance to play finals, than the Dees.

Fully agree with you Dazzle. Enough is enough. Goodwin has to go.
The tripe we are currently serving up is disgusting. We have had how many years to fix our forward issues (delivery, set shots & personnel) and have failed dismally in all 3.
Stafford can go, so can Mark Williams. Then thereās our coach who has managed to turn an awesome team into a pile of garbage inside of 3 years when it was all there to go again and win another flag. His game plan is ugly and boring that doesnāt value scoring.
Now for the board. They have overseen all this with an arrogant iron fist. They were/are so afraid of change or a different opinion, this is on their heads too. Donāt get me started on the farce that is the promise of a home base. Itās been 3 years since Roffey came to power, and we are no closer to finding a new home. She needs to go as well.
I remember at the start of 2022 of all this talk from the club about not becoming complacent. Well mission accomplished, the coaches, board & players are all guilty of being just that these past 3 years. Kudos for ruining a once good team who gave their all, into one bereft of skill, guts and determination.

I am usually optimistic, but the past few weeks have seen my optimism stretched to the point where Iām happy that weāll not put in as bad a performance against Port as did the Swans!
if we do win Iāll be over the moon, but failing that, Iām hopeful that the likes of Jefferson and Verrall etc might get games in the final two rounds.
