Not welcome? What does that mean?

I reckon Gold Coast would want more than pick 2, considering he was drafted at pick 1.
So what, he certainly hasn't lived up to the no.1 tag especially since he was meant to be ready to go.

Is he out of contract?
Contracted till end of 2014.

Jon Ralph's article doesn't even bother to name a club which might potentially be interested. Has there been any scuttlebut which might suggest which clubs, if any, have been sniffing around Sylvia? Otherwise, it just looks like Ralph has looked at (1) Roos appointed, so need a Melbourne story (2) who's a free agent who could leave Melbourne?
Collingwood supposedly interested.

So do I RB I just cannot see it.
I cannot remember a player who went done this " I will make a decision on return from Holidays/ end of season" that stayed.
I reckon if there is a good offer ( in Sylvia's mind ) from another club with good chances of playing finals football in the next two years then he is off.
The MFC will struggle to play finals before 2016. Why stay you never know he might bag a GF
Boak 'went on holidays' and then stayed i think. Turned out pretty well for all.

Am I missing something? Why do so many of these hypotheticals include pick 10?
I think GWS have a pick (currently 10) which was a compo pick (not sure what for or from who)

He did nothing last year and finished 4th. It's rigged. He's nowhere near their top 3 players.
-
umpiring a total disgrace!
all freo's way in 2nd. Just as disgraceful.
-
Come on freo. Stick it up 'em
how can you go for freo? Hope they get smashed.
-
Michie, Hallahan, Adams please.
-
i heard it was the reject shop
I heard they shaved a gorilla.

I must admit, I was keen to get him until I read above about him being a D-head. I don't want to bother with his type.
That's one person's opinion of him. Who cares; if he's good get him.
-
He's not that great. Big body tagger is his game.
Kyal Horsley looked nice last year. not sure what happened there.
He did his ACL.
-
Clint Jones.

Sadly, Magner and Couch likely. Davis, Bail, Sellar, Tapscott, Jetta, Blease all in danger
Blease is in no danger of being delisted. Traded maybe.

Our second rounder will be early 20's. No way.Would you be tempted to throw our second rounder at them? Especially if we get a pp?

Says he's a RFA anyway

Maybe the AFL could trial the NBA rule whereby you cop penalties if you don't play your best players.
Or they could bring it in next year and then do a restrospective investigation of Freo based on the new rule. In any case, hope the Dockers go out in straight sets in the finals for pulling this rubbish.
-
They can take their pick of Sellar, Pedo, Davis and Gillies though.

If it's McEvoy for a defender and a draft pick, it couldn't be Frawley. They'd be giving us a pick, we don't even need another ruck.
-
Jetta? What's the point?
-
So if Bates is gone (and he is) who's our doctor now?
I hope the muppet's been de-registered too.
-
Dont mind Sam Kerridge. A solid 188cm 87kg midfielder who kicked six goals against North Melbourne. Vic Boy aswell.
He extended his contract this week, so unlikely to leave. Would be nowhere near enough anyway.
-
So you're condemning the practice based on a sample size of one year? How scientific.
There would have been many confounders too.

Our players were injected by Dank. Lots to play our here.
Pretty sure the MFC staement after the 7:30 report confirmed that the 'injections' were just vitamins, and sounds liek we have the records because it wasn't done in a dodgy backyard clinic.
''The 7.30 report referred to injections. These injections were prescribed by Dr Bates and comprised vitamin B, C and Glutathione (an antioxidant) injections to some players.
''These injections were administered by a registered nurse at a medical clinic recommended by Dank. The club has received confirmation from the medical clinic that the injections administered were as prescribed.
''The program also made reference to a cream which is not prohibited under ASADA and WADA guidelines.
''The program made reference to Thymomodulin, Cerebrolysin, Naltrexone, Tribulus and Oxytocin. None of these substances were prescribed by Dr Bates for players at the Melbourne Football Club.''

Wouldn't want him as a player, coach perhaps.
