Meeting with the Cats now. What a filthy scumbag.

I'm still going with the theory that we only offered him a rookie spot given his foot and soft tissue history coupled with a questionable mental illness.
With the vast array of spuds on our senior list, I find it hard to believe we couldn't find room for our "equal best player" on there.

"Michael's actions are disgraceful and make a mockery of the AFL draft system that ensures club contracts are not at the mercy of players' hidden agendas or changing whims," Bowers said.

Looks like they did SFA to prevent that from happening again.

Melbourne....J Trengove....0 votes.
At least one of them hung fat.
Where is BP today?
Weaving his magic at Carlton.

He's still the next Gary Ablett Jnr though.

true but ellis did play in there premiership team. But they also got later picks right. Luke Breust at 47 in the rookie draft. sam mitchell at pick 36 and traded smartly to get gunston and hale. maybe they just had better development staff.
Very true. They won 2 flags because of the players that they got as PP's by tanking in the mid naughties.
-
that was over 10 years ago and both clubs didnt bugger there picks up like we did. they chose the right players who helped there club win premierships.
Hawthorn had so many top picks they had to get a few right, along with the likes of dud high picks in Dowler, Thorp and Ellis.

why isn't he on the demonland banner?. replace him with chip at once
Yep I'm sick of that dopey mug,
-
Frawley aint worth pick 3.
That is assistance in my book.
PIgs arse he's not. If the formula says he is then he is. It's not charity, we're losing our best key defender in his prime.

I reckon he'll stay, for the guernsey
Defs, he does bleed red and blue

Can someone verify this or otherwise:
Only St Kilda can force us to use our 2nd round pick on Stretch (because they were below us on the ladder) and if they don't, we can get him with a third round pick (unless another club bids their first round pick).
Thanks
Any club can force us to use a 2nd rounder if they bid their 1st rounder (unlikely). But yes, if StKilda don't bid their second rounder, he's ours for a 3rd rounder as I understand it.

This is simply not true. He showed an ability to play a role, which was the basis for his promotion to the senior side.
The readiness to put a line through players is getting silly. Let's just see how he develps next season.
Yeah fair enough, went OK in the tagger role, but barely got the ball himself. Taggers need to do more than that..
-
I don't think we need to bother with pick 2 because they'll call our bluff, but teams with picks 4-7 would be hard pressed not to take a punt.
It makes no difference to them though, they still have to use pick 8 or 9 to get him either way. Agree we won't bid though.
-
Very lucky to get another contract, has shown SFA even at VFL level.
-
Remember, F/S bidding is before the trade period, so you can't trade for P8 and use that to bid.
-
We'd have to bid pick 2, not that it makes a difference.
-
Absolute BS. They can't change the formula, ridiculous. It's band 1. Band 1 is fair. They freaking said compo isn't meant to reflect the value of the player and now they want to backtrack? F***ers.

It just occurred to me and may have been mentioned earlier. Roos has been i a similar situation before and again with Collingwood. Darren Jolly requested a trade back to Victoria from the Swans for family reasons which was granted with Roos blessing. History shows that Mrs Jolly suffered post natal depression and Sydney did the right thing. What compensation did Sydney get from the Pies for a premiership ruckman? I always thought Roos was most reasonable and understanding of Jolly's plight as he has here with Mitch and lets move on building a better forward line.
They got a 1st round pick.

Hope the Pies sign him to a fat contract, and he never plays a game again.

Buntine played 7 games this year

Or Port/GWS being reported too

I hope he enjoys the boos on QB. He'll have certainly earned them.
Hopefully he doen't get on the park all year.

I don't want to predict what we should or shouldn't trade for Giles, but I certainly think that he is the type of person we need, Has showed he can play at the level, but struggles for opportunities with Sandilands and Clarke in front of him.
Huh? He's from GWS.
